Fliff is a social sportsbook and promotional sweepstakes service, not a conventional cash-deposit sportsbook. It uses two balances: Fliff Coins for social play, which Fliff says cannot be redeemed for cash or prizes, and Fliff Cash for promotional sweepstakes games, where eligible winnings may be redeemed after meeting the rules. You can enter without buying anything, but location, play-through, identity verification, and other eligibility conditions apply.
What Fliff is—and what it is not
Fliff describes itself as a social sportsbook where users make sports predictions, use promotional plays, and earn loyalty rewards. Its model distinguishes social play from sweepstakes play. A wallet deposit is not required: users can claim Fliff Coins for free, and Fliff also sells virtual Fliff Coins. Fliff says both balances can be claimed free of charge, but only Fliff Coins can be purchased. A purchase is not a deposit and does not buy Fliff Cash.

The company’s official description is not the only relevant legal position. Fliff says it complies with applicable laws where it operates. Separately, the Illinois Gaming Board said in a cease-and-desist letter identified as February 4, 2026, that it had not licensed or authorized Fliff for online gambling activity in Illinois. The Board demanded that Fliff block Illinois residents or stop offering cash, gift cards, and other prizes through the service. That letter establishes the regulator’s allegation and demand, not the ultimate legal outcome or Fliff’s later compliance status. Fliff’s own characterization should not be treated as an independent legal conclusion. Fliff’s website and the Illinois Gaming Board represent those distinct positions.

| Balance | What it is used for | Can it be redeemed? | How it is obtained |
|---|---|---|---|
| Fliff Coins | Social-play games, XP, and community features | No. Fliff’s Terms say coins have no monetary value, cannot be transferred or sold, and cannot be exchanged for cash or prizes. Fliff Coin games can win additional Fliff Coins. | Claimed free periodically or purchased as virtual coins |
| Fliff Cash | Promotional sweepstakes games | Eligible winnings may qualify for a prize redemption, subject to play-through, verification, eligibility, and other rules. | Free bonuses, qualifying coin-purchase bonuses when offered, no-cost social-media giveaways, or eligible mail-in entry |
Fliff’s Terms say purchases are final and virtual coins may be forfeited if an account is suspended or terminated. Do not treat a Fliff Coin purchase as a cash deposit or as buying redeemable Fliff Cash. The Terms and Sweepstakes Rules set out the distinctions and conditions.

How to get and redeem Fliff Cash
Fliff’s Sweepstakes Rules describe four ways to receive Fliff Cash: a free bonus associated with claiming free Fliff Coins, subject to balance and pending-redemption conditions; a free bonus with qualifying Fliff Coin purchases where shown; no-cost social-media giveaways; and a mail-in entry method for eligible participants. The rules state that an account is free and no purchase is ever required to enter. A bonus offered alongside a coin purchase is not the purchase of Fliff Cash.
Receiving Fliff Cash does not make it immediately redeemable. The rules generally require at least one play-through and reserve Fliff’s discretion to require more. The app’s Prize Play-Through section shows the amount required for an account. After play-through, the rules say only the lower of the risk amount or the payout less the risk amount becomes eligible. A potential winner must also satisfy eligibility requirements and complete verification.

The current rules state a minimum redemption of 50 eligible Fliff Cash, corresponding at present to a $50 prize request, and a maximum of $5,000 per Sweepstakes Period. They also reserve discretion to set weekly or monthly limits and processing fees. Those figures are rules, not guarantees of approval or payment; check the live rules and in-app amount before relying on them. Redemption may require government photo ID, biometric facial-scan recognition, proof of address, and SSN validation. Read the current Sweepstakes Rules.

Fliff offers straight picks, parlays, and single-game parlays. The Sports Prediction Rules say picks cannot be cancelled after submission, and payouts use the odds in effect when the pick was submitted. Posted odds and limits may change without prior written notice. Fliff’s general rule states: “Customer cannot cancel picks once they are submitted.”
Rank #3
Settlement depends on the market and sport. A postponement or venue change can result in a pick being treated as no action; a parlay may then be recalculated with that leg removed. The general rules include overtime in totals, moneyline, and spread settlement unless a rule for the specific market says otherwise. Soccer match-winner picks, for example, are determined on the 90 minutes and exclude overtime and penalty shots. Review the in-app rules for the particular pick rather than assuming one settlement formula covers every sport. Fliff’s Sports Prediction Rules describe the details.
Where Fliff is available
Availability depends on the Fliff product and activity; one state list does not apply to every feature. The current Sweepstakes Rules exclude Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Michigan, Mississippi, Montana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia from the sweepstakes. Fliff’s Terms separately exclude Washington and Idaho from Fliff Coin games.
Pick’Em has a distinct eligibility list. A Fliff Help Center article updated March 23, 2026, lists California, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, New Mexico, North Dakota, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and West Virginia for that product. These lists are not interchangeable, and Fliff says game eligibility can vary by state and month. Check the current product map, applicable rules, and the app for your location before using a feature. Fliff Help Center.
Age, account eligibility, and verification
Fliff’s Help Center says users must be at least 18 to register and use the service, with lower purchase limits for users ages 18–22. The Terms and Sweepstakes Rules require users to meet the higher local age of majority where applicable and to be legally eligible where they are located. Meeting the stated age alone does not establish that a particular product is available in your state.

Prize redemption requires identity verification. Depending on the case, Fliff’s rules list government photo identification, biometric facial-scan recognition, proof of address, and SSN validation among possible requirements. Fliff’s Terms and Sweepstakes Rules govern account and prize eligibility.
Responsible-play controls
Fliff’s responsible-play policy frames the service as entertainment, not a way to generate income, and advises users not to chase losses. The company describes hourly session reminders; requested daily, weekly, or monthly limits on coin purchases, play amounts, and time; cool-off periods of one, seven, or 30 days; and self-exclusion options of one, three, or five years. These are controls described by Fliff, not an independent assessment of their effectiveness. Read Fliff’s responsible-play policy.
