Why does my YouTube gaming replay keep disconnecting on JioFiber?
The cause could be the YouTube app or video, the playback device, the Wi-Fi link inside your home, or the internet service path. Comparing services, devices, and connections helps narrow down where to look, but no single comparison proves the cause.

YouTube’s guidance notes that network congestion and other factors may cause live programming issues or delay a stream. Its playback steps can also help with a replay that buffers or stops. The available guidance does not establish a specific JioFiber fault or a guaranteed fix.
How to isolate the problem
- Check whether other services work. Try another video or app on the same device. If only YouTube has trouble, focus first on the app, the particular video, or YouTube’s connection path. If multiple services are affected, check the home network and JioFiber connection too.
- Try the same YouTube video on another device. If it plays there, the original device or its app may be involved. If it stops on more than one device, continue checking the connection and compare another internet connection.
- Compare connections. If practical, play the video using mobile data or another available connection instead of JioFiber. YouTube recommends changing the internet connection as a troubleshooting step. Mobile data charges may apply. A difference between connections is a clue, not proof of a JioFiber fault.
- Compare Wi-Fi with Ethernet, if possible. If the device supports a wired connection, test it near the same time and with the same video. Stable playback over Ethernet but not Wi-Fi points toward the local wireless link as an area to investigate; Ethernet will not fix an upstream outage or a YouTube-side problem.
Fixes to try on the YouTube device
Reduce playback quality
Manually select a lower playback quality in YouTube and see whether the replay remains stable. This can help distinguish a connection that struggles at a higher data rate from an app or playback issue. YouTube’s TV guidance recommends at least 7 Mbps for HD playback on TV; that is a recommendation, not a guarantee of uninterrupted gaming replay or a measured threshold for stream stability.

Refresh the app and device
- Close YouTube and reopen it.
- Restart the TV, streaming device, phone, or computer.
- On supported devices, clear the YouTube app cache.
- Check for YouTube app and device-system updates.
- Try the video on another device.
Improve the connection near a TV
For TV playback, check the connection where the TV or streaming device is actually located rather than relying only on a speed result beside the router. YouTube recommends checking speed near the TV, moving the device within router range, reducing interference, and limiting other devices using the network while troubleshooting. Its 7 Mbps HD recommendation is not an assurance that a replay will never disconnect.
Run JioFiber diagnostics in MyJio
- Open the MyJio app.
- Go to Home, then open JioCare or Run Diagnostics. Labels may vary; follow the current in-app prompts.
- Run the checks and follow the guided steps. Jio says its diagnostics can check connection health, router status, Wi-Fi strength, and device connectivity.
- If the issue remains, use the in-app support route to raise a service request. Jio’s diagnostics information also describes an option to raise a complaint.

Check the Jio Home Gateway and Wi-Fi
- Restart the gateway. Jio’s Fiber guide recommends restarting the Jio Home Gateway for internet issues.
- Move the playback device closer to the router. A stronger local Wi-Fi link can help if distance or obstacles are contributing to the problem.
- Compare Wi-Fi bands where available. Jio’s guide describes 5 GHz as an option for speed and 2.4 GHz as offering better coverage. Which works better depends on the device, router, distance, and surroundings.
- Test with a VPN disconnected only as a diagnostic check, if relevant. Jio’s guide lists this in certain connection troubleshooting. Do not treat disabling privacy protection as a general fix; restore your usual setting after the test.

When to test Ethernet or improve Wi-Fi coverage
Ethernet test
Jio recommends Ethernet for streaming devices and identifies CAT6 cable as an option in its guide. Before buying or connecting a cable, check that the playback device has a compatible Ethernet port or that you have a suitable adapter, and choose a cable long enough to reach the router safely. A stable wired test can help isolate Wi-Fi coverage or interference; it cannot resolve a confirmed service outage or a YouTube-side issue.
Wi-Fi extender
Consider an extender only if testing or diagnostics indicates weak coverage in a larger home. Jio’s FAQ says an extender may enhance coverage; it is not a remedy for a general service outage. Check compatibility with your equipment and current availability before choosing one.

- When the replay disconnected, including the date and approximate time.
- The exact on-screen error, if one appeared.
- Which devices were affected and whether other apps or services also stopped.
- Whether playback was over Wi-Fi or Ethernet, and the result of each test.
- Whether the same video worked on another connection.
Do not post account credentials publicly. A symptom affecting multiple devices or services is useful evidence for support, but it still does not by itself identify the cause.
