The appliance includes an internal replaceable water filter, an internal water dispenser and an automatic ice maker. Its variable-temperature compartment can be set to fridge, chill, soft-freeze or freezer mode. Those modes offer storage flexibility, but the mode names alone do not establish independently measured results for particular foods.
Capacity: distinguish listed volume from gross capacity
Fisher & Paykel Australia’s 21 August 2026 quick guide describes the refrigerator as 690 L, while listing total gross capacity as 744 L. The 690 L listed volume is divided into 453 L for the refrigerator, 118 L for the freezer and 119 L for the variable-temperature compartment. Use the measure relevant to your comparison; listed volume and gross capacity are not interchangeable.

Will it fit your kitchen?
The Australian 2026 guide gives exterior dimensions of 1900 mm high × 905 mm wide × 748 mm deep, with depth reduced to 660 mm without the door. It specifies minimum internal cabinetry dimensions of 1920 mm high × 945 mm wide × 690 mm deep, plus clearance of at least 30 mm at the rear, 20 mm on each side and 20 mm above.
Check the full installation drawing for the market where you are buying. Cabinet opening dimensions do not by themselves establish that doors can open fully, drawers can be used comfortably or the refrigerator can be delivered through hallways and doorways. Measure the route into the kitchen and account for door swing, nearby walls and cabinets.

Water connection and ongoing upkeep
This is a plumbed model, so plan for a suitable water connection as well as the space for the refrigerator. A Fisher & Paykel NZ/Australia specification guide dated 14 October 2021 lists a 3.5 m water connection kit with tap adaptor and a stated pressure range of 150–827 kPa (22–120 psi) at 20°C. The same guide gives a weight of 145 kg. It cautions that it is not installation guidance and that product information may vary; confirm requirements in the current documentation for your country and have installation assessed against local requirements.

Energy figures depend on the market
The Australian 2026 guide lists a 4-star energy rating and annual energy use of 463 kWh. It also estimates in-use energy emissions at 282.5 kgCO2e per year. Fisher & Paykel New Zealand’s product listing separately reports 44.0 kgCO2e per year. These carbon figures are market-specific estimates, not a like-for-like comparison or a universal emissions value; use the local energy label and regional product information for a purchase decision.
What the available review evidence can—and cannot—tell you
CHOICE identifies the model as a French-door refrigerator and gives a 2023 test year. Its public model page also shows claimed energy use of 463 kWh per year, but hides its expert rating, detailed results, pros and cons, and testing standard behind membership. The public information therefore supports saying that CHOICE lists a test year, not that the refrigerator earned a particular score or passed or failed a performance test.
