The Fisher & Paykel CI604DTB4 is a 60cm, four-zone induction cooktop with two paired SmartZones. Its published specifications make it possible to assess its layout, fit and electrical requirements, but the available evidence does not establish independent cooking-performance, durability or owner-satisfaction results. This is a specification-based guide, not a hands-on review.

Fisher & Paykel describes the CI604DTB4 as a Series 7 induction cooktop with four cooking zones. Its controls and listed functions are aimed at adjusting heat, managing cooking time and adding basic safety safeguards.

The product page lists heating efficiency at 86%. This is a manufacturer-published figure; without a matching independent test and comparison method, it does not establish how the cooktop performs against another model.

What does SmartZone do?
SmartZone lets you pair two cooking zones to accommodate larger cookware, such as a griddle. It is useful if you regularly cook with long or oversized pans; if your cookware fits comfortably on individual zones, the paired layout may matter less. Check the current country-specific product information to confirm how the zones are arranged on the variant offered where you live.

Does the CI604DTB4 fit my cutout?
Fisher & Paykel lists the cooktop at approximately 600mm wide, 530mm deep and 54mm high in its 2025 quick reference guide. The datasheet specifies an overall width of 599mm. These are product dimensions, not a substitute for the required countertop cutout measurements.
The manufacturer’s datasheet lists a minimum clearance of 650mm from the glass surface to a rangehood, and 450mm to an overhead cabinet that is not directly above the cooktop. The installation instructions govern the final fit, including ventilation requirements.

What power supply does the CI604DTB4 need?
Fisher & Paykel’s 2025 quick reference guide lists a 7kW maximum power rating and a 220–240V, 60Hz supply. Confirm that those requirements suit your home’s electrical supply and local rules with a qualified installer; do not assume that an existing cooktop connection is suitable. The UK product page advises installation by a licensed electrician.

What to check before buying
- Cookware: induction requires compatible pans. Check the pans you use most often before deciding whether you need replacements.
- Installation: verify the cutout, clearances, ventilation instructions and electrical requirements for your exact variant with a qualified local installer.
- Warranty: the 2025 quick reference guide lists one year of parts and labour. Confirm the applicable warranty terms in your country before purchase.
- Price and availability: check directly with a local seller or Fisher & Paykel, since a current price or stock status is not established here.
What this review can—and cannot—establish
The documented specifications support an assessment of the CI604DTB4’s zone count, SmartZone concept, controls, dimensions, electrical rating and listed clearances. They do not establish independent cooking results, long-term reliability, durability or customer satisfaction.
