You can buy Aquatic Tackle Boxes from the shop in Outer Deep for a reported 750 C$ each, then open them from your inventory to receive bait. You can also try to catch the boxes while fishing in Outer Deep. The steps and item details below come from a guide updated September 21, 2026, and may change with a Fisch update.
Where to find the Aquatic Tackle Box shop
The shop is on a raised rock ledge in Outer Deep, beside the circular entrance and near Abadha [Chromis]. To reach it, start beside Nereus (Main Quest) in The Deep. Head right past the glowing domes and white towers, follow the dark underwater path, and pass through the circular gateway into Outer Deep. Look for the purple box on the ledge. These location directions are reported by Nerd’s Chalk’s Fisch guide.

How to buy Aquatic Tackle Boxes
- Go to the purple shop box in Outer Deep and press E to open the shop.
- In the Shop Purchase prompt, choose the quantity you want.
- Select Yes to confirm. The guide reports a price of 750 C$ per box; for example, 1,000 boxes cost 750,000 C$.

How to open the boxes and claim bait
- Press G to open your inventory.
- Select Items, then choose Aquatic Tackle Box.
- In the Open Crates prompt, select how many boxes to open and confirm.
The guide reports that bait reward notifications appear after opening. It says a box gives 2–6 bait and names Trench Grubs as one possible reward. It does not provide a complete reward list or verified odds, so you should not expect a particular bait from any single box.

Buy a box or fish for one?
| Method | What is reported | What to expect |
|---|---|---|
| Buy at the shop | 750 C$ per box, according to Nerd’s Chalk’s guide | A direct purchase with a known in-game price |
| Fish in Outer Deep | The box is reported as Unusual; Magnet is its preferred bait. The guide says luck does not affect catch probability. | No fixed monetary cost or comparative catch rate is stated, so the available details do not establish whether fishing is faster or more reliable than buying. |
For fishing, the guide also reports no weather, time, or season restriction, plus 220 XP and 23.53 C$ per kg for the box. Treat these as guide-reported item details rather than guaranteed current values.
Is this a physical tackle box?
No. Aquatic Tackle Box is an in-game Fisch item used to obtain bait, not a real fishing product. The official Fisch merchandise page describes merchandise with DLC, but does not say that it grants Aquatic Tackle Boxes or their bait rewards.
