It was an alleged rear-view image shared by leaker OnLeaks and described as circulating on Chinese social media—not an official OnePlus image. It suggested a familiar circular camera island with some changes, but it could not confirm the phone’s screen design or specifications.
What did the first OnePlus 13 leaked image show?
Tom’s Guide reported that OnLeaks shared the alleged image on October 17, 2024. The rear of the phone looked similar to the OnePlus 12, including a large circular camera island, while the flash appeared to be integrated into one of the camera lenses and the Hasselblad “H” mark appeared to have moved off the island. Those are interpretations of a leaked image, not details confirmed by OnePlus at the time. Tom’s Guide’s report describes both the visible design and the image’s limits.

The image showed only the rear. It did not establish the display’s shape, internal hardware, or final specifications.

Were there other OnePlus 13 images?
Yes, but they should be treated as a separate, less certain set of possible images. Android Authority reported on October 17, 2024, that images associated with Digital Chat Station had appeared in a Weibo post, which was later edited to remove them. The outlet also cautioned that polished renders circulating alongside them might be mock-ups. They do not authenticate the OnLeaks image or establish the phone’s final design. Android Authority’s report outlines the uncertainty around this material.

When did OnePlus officially show the design?
OnePlus later published official design images through its Weibo account. On October 21, 2024, 9to5Google reported the official imagery and said the China launch event was scheduled for October 31, 2024. That reveal was a later, separate step: it does not retroactively make every earlier leaked image official or prove that every detail in a leak was accurate. 9to5Google’s report covers the official images and event date.

A rear-view image is not a specification sheet. It could not verify the camera sensors, battery capacity, materials, water resistance, or recording capabilities. Those details became available later through OnePlus’s own product information and should be understood as manufacturer-published product claims, not evidence contained in the first leak.
In its January 2025 announcement, OnePlus listed a triple rear-camera setup: a 50MP main camera with a Sony LYT-808 sensor and OIS, a 50MP 3X Triprism Telephoto camera with OIS, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera. The same announcement listed a 6,000mAh battery, IP68/IP69 ratings, and Midnight Ocean, Arctic Dawn, and Black Eclipse colorways. OnePlus India’s product announcement is the source for those later manufacturer-published details.
OnePlus North America’s product and specifications pages provide regional information, including 4K Dolby Vision recording across the cameras. Features and specifications can vary by region or change over time, so consult the relevant regional page for current details: OnePlus North America’s OnePlus 13 page and its specifications page.
