The popular claim that Prime Day brings “up to 67% off the entire Fire TV Stick lineup” doesn’t hold up today, October 7, 2026. Prime Day 2026 ran June 23–26 and is over. Amazon’s current sale is Prime Big Deal Days 2026. Its deal roundup names one Fire TV offer: the Fire TV Stick HD at up to 60% off. Amazon doesn’t say 67% off, and it doesn’t say the whole lineup is discounted.
What Amazon is actually advertising right now
Amazon’s October 7 roundup for Prime Big Deal Days 2026 lists the Fire TV Stick HD at “up to 60% off.” Two things about that wording matter:

- “Up to” is a ceiling, not a promise. It describes the best case for that listing, not a guaranteed cut on every model or in every country.
- It covers one model. Amazon’s roundup says nothing about the 4K Plus or 4K Max at this discount, so don’t assume they match.
What happened during Prime Day in June
Amazon’s June preview and its U.S. press release both put Prime Day 2026 at June 23–26. The preview advertised 50% off the Fire TV Stick 4K Plus and 40% off the Fire TV Stick 4K Max. Those offers belonged to that four-day event. The Prime Day percentages also differed by model, which is another reason a single lineup-wide “67%” figure is unsupported.

Is now a good time to buy?
If you want an inexpensive way to get streaming apps on a TV, the HD stick is the model Amazon is promoting at the deepest “up to” discount, so this is a reasonable moment to look. Amazon’s published material doesn’t include a current U.S. price list for every model. That means you can’t judge the deal from a percentage alone. Check these on the live listing:

- The price you pay today. Compare it with the listed price on the page, not the headline percentage.
- Whether the offer is Prime-only. Event pricing often requires a Prime membership.
- The offer end time. Amazon’s roundup doesn’t give one for this deal.
- Your marketplace. Offers differ between Amazon stores.
HD or 4K: which one fits your TV?
The main split is resolution. The HD stick is meant for 1080p TVs. If your TV is 4K, a 4K model is the match, and the discount on the HD stick won’t help you get 4K picture. If your TV is HD, paying more for a 4K stick gains you little on that screen. Compare the live price of the exact 4K model you want against the HD deal before choosing.
New Fire TV Stick 4K in Japan
On September 30, Amazon Japan announced a new Fire TV Stick 4K. It lists the stick at ¥11,980, with a ¥5,980 event price during Japan’s Prime Appreciation Festival, October 16–19, 2026. That price is Japan-only and doesn’t apply to U.S. or other stores.

The new Fire TV interface
Amazon says the redesigned Fire TV interface began rolling out in February 2026. Its June 22, 2026 update says it is available on current-generation Fire TV Stick devices worldwide. That’s a software detail about the platform, not a discount, so it shouldn’t be the reason you pick one stick over another.
The Bottom Line
Skip the “67% off everything” claim. Amazon’s current offer is up to 60% off the Fire TV Stick HD during Prime Big Deal Days, and Prime Day itself ended on June 26. Open the live listing, confirm the model and price you’d actually pay, and buy only if that number works for your TV.
