Fire Emblem Shadows’ September 25, 2026 update added Book 4, An Island Apart, Chapters 1 and 2 for both Light and Shadow, along with Black Knight: Sword Spirit and new support features. Nintendo’s official update and preview notices do not confirm “Flame Lords” as an update feature, so that phrase should not be treated as part of the announcement.
What arrived in the Book 4 update?
Book 4 is titled An Island Apart. Its opening chapters follow Kurt and the others from Book 1 as they escape to Holtz, Rose’s homeland, take refuge among its islands and face pursuit by the empire. Nintendo says Chapters 1 and 2 were added for both Light and Shadow on September 25, 2026. Nintendo’s update notice has the chapter announcement and details.
