In OutSystems 11, a recent site-property change may appear in the affected module’s Service Center > Monitoring > General log. Search for “site property.” Treat this as a useful clue, not a guaranteed audit history: community reports say an entry may show old and new values for a non-secret property, while a secret-property entry may show only that a change occurred. OutSystems Community reports describe the behavior, but it is not an official guarantee for every version or hosting setup.
How to find a recent site-property change
-
Sign in to Service Center for the correct OutSystems 11 environment.
As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
-
Open Monitoring > General for the relevant module.
-
Search or filter for site property. If you know the approximate time or module, use that context to narrow the entries.

Check the message and timestamp. Community reports indicate that some non-secret change entries include old and new values; secret-property entries may record a change without revealing the secret. Confirm what your environment’s actual log entry contains.

How far back can Service Center show the change?
Service Center displays up to the last two weeks of logs. That is the visible window, not necessarily the full period for which log data exists. Older entries may remain in the underlying logging database within its configured retention period, but they are not available in the standard Service Center view. OutSystems documents the log view and logging-database retention.

What a log entry does—and does not—prove
A matching General-log entry can help identify a recent change, but finding one does not establish that every site-property edit is recorded or that the log is a complete history. The OutSystems 11 documentation explains environment logging and audit-trail options, but does not document a complete built-in ledger of every module site-property change. Community answers also describe the absence of a full value history. OutSystems’ audit-trail guidance covers approaches to building an audit trail.
Secret properties may not reveal their values
OutSystems documents secret site properties as encrypted at rest and masked in management consoles. A community report says a change may be logged without exposing the secret value. Plan to establish that a change occurred, not to recover the secret from a log. Site-property documentation explains secret-property handling.

LifeTime audit logs have a different scope
LifeTime audit logs cover IT-user tasks involving applications, deployment plans, users, teams, roles, environments, and infrastructure. Their default retention is 365 days, configurable through the TimeToKeepAuditsInDays site property in the LifeTimeAudit module. That scope and retention do not establish that each module site-property edit is captured. OutSystems’ LifeTime audit-log documentation describes the coverage.

If your team needs reliable attribution over time, create an application-level audit path and ensure that every permitted update uses it. Capture the actor, time, environment, property, and an appropriate before-and-after representation. For secrets, log the fact of the change without recording the secret itself.

Operational logs are useful, but not a durable audit store
OutSystems documents LogMessage for writing custom application entries visible in Service Center General logs. Each message is limited to 2,000 characters. These entries remain subject to platform-log retention, so they may not meet a long-term audit requirement. OutSystems’ audit-trail guidance discusses retention, data integrity, and sensitive-data handling for more durable patterns. Read the audit-trail guidance.
A wrapper catches only changes that go through it
A dedicated module can expose controlled Get/Set actions and log the caller and change. But a wrapper cannot capture edits made directly in Service Center. To make the record complete, restrict direct edits or make them part of a separate change-control process that records who changed what and when. OutSystems Community discussion notes this limitation.
OutSystems 11 and ODC use different audit views
The steps above are for OutSystems 11 Service Center. OutSystems Developer Cloud uses a separate Portal audit trail; current documentation describes a rolling 30-day history with date, operation, entity type, user, scope, and message fields. Use the ODC Portal documentation rather than applying the O11 click path to ODC. OutSystems Developer Cloud audit-trail documentation.
