Turn around, go past the steam vents, climb the metal stairs, and slice the locked door at the top. Entering it advances the objective to “Make Your Way to the Docks.”
Where the alternate docks route starts
The route is in the “Eavesdropping” critical story mission at Gressan Breakbulk Dockyard on Courtsilius. The mission involves listening in on an Infinite Coil meeting with local syndicates. When you reach the alley blocked by three guards, treat it as a dead end and look back toward your starting area. Two independent walkthroughs describe the same route: NerdsChalk’s walkthrough and XboxPlay.games’ walkthrough. The mission’s setting and story context are also listed in the mission guide.

How to reach the docks
- Leave the blocked alley. Turn away from the three guards; the guides do not describe a way through them.
- Pass the steam vents. Head back toward the area behind your starting position.
- Climb the metal staircase. At the top, follow the elevated walkway to the locked door.
- Use the console to slice the door. Go through once it opens. The objective changes to “Make Your Way to the Docks.”
Is the power-generator scan required?
No. The walkthroughs describe scanning the marked power generator with macrobinoculars as an optional Intel pickup, not a requirement for opening the alternate route. If you want the Intel, scan it before heading up the stairs; otherwise, go directly to the staircase and door.
What happens after the door
The two walkthroughs report that the door leads to the eavesdropping scene followed by a Slugrat ambush, and that Hawks must survive for the mission to continue. Those encounter details come from independent guides, not an official step-by-step route description. The official StarWars.com gameplay guide explains that mission objectives appear at the upper left and are marked on the map; use those markers to orient yourself after the objective updates. It also notes that missions advance the cycle, so complete Den tasks before deploying if you still have any to do.
