AppleInsider berichtete am 1. Oktober 2026, der YouTube-Kanal The Final Cut Bro habe versehentlich ein Video mit dem Titel „Final Cut 13 is here!“ veröffentlicht und anschließend auf privat gesetzt. Der Bericht stützt sich auf einen Reddit-Nutzer, der das Video bemerkt haben soll, sowie auf eine von einem weiteren Nutzer geteilte Kapitel-Liste. Das Originalvideo ließ sich nicht direkt prüfen. Die folgenden Punkte sind daher mutmaßliche Funktionen, abgeleitet aus Kapitelüberschriften, nicht bestätigte Produktdetails. AppleInsider-Bericht vom 1. Oktober 2026 nennt den Beitrag selbst ein Gerücht und weist darauf hin, dass Apple Version 13 noch nicht angekündigt hatte.

Pixelmator-Pro-Roundtrip für Einzelbilder
Dem Bericht zufolge könnte sich ein Einzelbild aus einem Final-Cut-Pro-Projekt in Pixelmator Pro bearbeiten und anschließend wieder in das Videoprojekt zurückführen lassen. Der genaue Ablauf und die unterstützten Versionen sind unbekannt. Apple beschreibt bereits eine Übergabe in die andere Richtung: In einer Mitteilung vom 30. Juni 2026 hieß es, Nutzer könnten „even send a key frame from Final Cut Pro directly to Pixelmator Pro“. Apples aktuelle Funktionsdokumentation führt Final Cut Pro 12.4 auf. Sie nennt unter anderem Effekte des Kinomodus für Videos, die mit iPhone 18 Pro oder iPhone Duo aufgenommen wurden, sowie macOS 26.6 als Mindestvoraussetzung. Die Kapitelüberschriften verraten weder, wann Final Cut Pro 13 erscheinen könnte, noch welche Geräte, Betriebssysteme oder Kauf- und Abo-Versionen es unterstützen würde. Ebenso fehlen belastbare Angaben zu den Transkriptionssprachen, zum Pixelmator-Pro-Ablauf und zur Bedienung der genannten Werkzeuge. Dafür sind Apples Ankündigung und offizielle Versionshinweise maßgeblich; die Leak-Berichte beantworten diese Fragen nicht.
