The launch press release gives a price of $499; FiiO’s product page lists a 101 mm driver, 800 nm diaphragm, 425 g weight, 95 dB/mW sensitivity and 24 Ω impedance. Those are manufacturer-published figures, not independent measurements or listening results.
What the FiiO FT15 is
The FT15 is a planar over-ear headphone built around an 800 nm ultra-thin diaphragm with a full-face diamond coating, according to FiiO’s September 17, 2026 announcement and its official product page. FiiO says the coating and magnetic design are intended to limit diaphragm breakup and distortion. That describes the design goal; it does not establish how the headphones sound in independent testing.
FiiO also says the diaphragm is 86.7% thinner than the previous generation and compares the FT15’s effective vibrating area with the FT5. These are manufacturer comparisons, rather than independently verified measurements.
Published specifications
| Specification | FiiO-published figure |
|---|---|
| Driver type and size | Planar driver, 101 mm |
| Diaphragm thickness | 800 nm |
| Effective vibrating area | 6,443.5 mm² |
| Sensitivity | 95 dB/mW |
| Impedance | 24 Ω |
| Weight | 425 g |
All figures in the table come from FiiO’s product specifications. FiiO characterizes the FT15 as easy to drive, including from a USB dongle; the listed sensitivity and impedance are specifications, not independent confirmation of that claim.
