To find a good gift in Fields of Mistria, look up the recipient if you know who you’re giving to, or search by item if you’re choosing from your inventory. A gift guide checked against version 1.0 lists preferences for 34 characters and sorts reactions into loved, liked, disliked, hated, and banned. Its last stated check was August 15, 2026, so verify preferences again after game updates.
How to find the right gift
Use the guide’s character lookup when you have a recipient in mind. It brings that character’s preferences together, including birthday information where available. If you already have a few items to choose from, use the item lookup instead to see which characters appreciate them.

Before choosing, consider both the reaction tier and the item’s availability in your current progress. A loved item may be a strong birthday choice, but a liked gift can be a sensible ordinary-day option. Avoid spending a scarce or costly item without checking whether you would rather save it for another purpose.
What the reaction categories mean
- Loved: A top preference and the guide’s suggested priority for birthdays.
- Liked: A positive option that the guide recommends considering for ordinary days.
- Disliked: A poor match if you have a better option.
- Hated: An especially undesirable reaction; check another item before giving it.
- Banned: An item category the game prevents that character from receiving. The guide gives alcohol or caffeine for some characters as examples.
These labels describe recipient-specific reactions, not universal qualities of an item: the same item may suit one character and not another.

How often can you give a gift?
The community Fields of Mistria Wiki’s Friendship page says each character can receive one gift per day. If you have several possible items, use the recipient lookup first and reserve that daily gift for the best available match.
Check the guide’s version before relying on a preference
The 34-character guide says its preference data was checked against the version 1.0 wiki and an editorial table, and labels the dataset “Checked for version 1.0.” It was last checked August 15, 2026. That is the guide’s stated scope and date, not a guarantee that every preference will remain current in later game versions.

A separate fan guide reports an August 23, 2026 update, but that date alone does not establish that its tables supersede the version 1.0-checked list. Gift references can differ, and a verification-focused source cautions that some collected values lack a fixed version or official confirmation. When lists conflict—or an exact result matters—check the reaction in your current game and treat unresolved entries as unconfirmed.
