If you mean the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 and Honda Civic Si Group A Version ’87 reported for Gran Turismo 7’s 1.72 update, there is no verified winner yet. The update was scheduled for October 15, 2026, after the latest available report dated October 3, so neither car’s in-game pace has been established as of October 4.
Which car is faster in GT7: the F355 or Civic?
There are no verified lap times or controlled performance results for these two cars. GTPlanet reported on October 3, 2026, that the two variants were slated for update 1.72 Part 1, due October 15; that is a report about a future update, not evidence that it had shipped or that either car had been tested in-game. So it would be premature to call the Ferrari faster, the Civic easier to drive, or either one better in corners, fuel use, or online races. Real-world specifications and reputation cannot settle an in-game comparison.
Which exact cars are being compared?
The reported models are the Ferrari F355 Berlinetta ’94 and the Honda Civic Si Group A Version ’87. The Civic’s exact version matters: “Civic” alone could refer to other cars in GT7. The report identifies these models as planned additions, but their in-game profiles and availability still need confirmation after the update.
#1 Best Overall
- With the return of classic cars, iconic tracks, and fan-favourite modes like GT Simulation and Sport Mode - Gran Turismo 7 is the complete Real Driving Simulator, 25 years in the making.
- Find your line. Whether you're a racer, collector, tuner, designer, photographer or arcade fan - immerse yourself in the facets of automotive culture that matter most to you.
- Connect and compete. Join an international community of drivers to share race strategies, tuning tips, livery designs and photos, before taking to the track to go head-to-head.
How to compare them fairly after the update
A useful answer needs more than a single lap from an unspecified setup. Compare both cars in the same conditions and publish the details that let another player interpret or reproduce the result.
- Confirm availability and identity. Check that update 1.72 has shipped and verify each car’s exact in-game name, profile, price, and dealership from current game sources.
- Run separate stock and tuned comparisons. Do not mix an unmodified car’s result with a tuned build. For each run, record PP, drivetrain, horsepower, weight, tires, installed parts, and settings.
- Hold the event conditions constant. Use the same track and event or a repeatable custom-race setup. State any power or PP limit, tire compound, and driving assists.
- Define what “better” means. Report whether the result is a clean-lap time, performance across a multi-lap race, or an event involving fuel and tire strategy. Those can favor different strengths.
- For online racing, check the regulations first. Establish the race’s applicable regulations and Balance of Performance (BoP). A result under one track or PP cap does not establish a universal online winner.
What GT7’s car specifications can—and cannot—tell you
Gran Turismo says its car-list profiles include drivetrain layout, horsepower, and weight, and that players can sort by those specifications. Those fields are useful context for a comparison, but they do not replace track testing. They also do not establish either planned car’s current in-game values. See Gran Turismo’s car-list announcement; its stated total of 530 cars applied as of July 2025, not as a current 2026 roster count.

Do you need to buy either car?
GT7 vehicle purchases use credits, which players can earn through game progression or pay for, according to Sony’s August 19, 2026 update 1.71 announcement. That general rule does not establish the F355’s or Civic’s price, dealership, or acquisition route. Check the current in-game listings once the cars are available.
