First check whether FC 26 is completely silent or only missing one kind of sound. If the crowd and effects still play but commentary does not, focus on the commentary volume and your audio output format. Identify which FC 26 sounds are missing
FC 26 separates its sound controls by category, so a silent commentary track does not necessarily mean the game’s audio is muted. EA’s FC 26 accessibility information lists distinct controls for menu sound effects, EA Music, and—on PS5—Controller Audio. It also separates 11-A-Side Commentary from Stadium Ambiance, and Rush Commentary from Gameplay Music and General Ambiance.

- Commentary only: Check the commentary slider for the mode you are playing.
- Crowd or stadium sound only: Check Stadium Ambiance or General Ambiance, depending on the mode.

- PS5 controller speaker only: Check Controller Audio rather than changing the main game volume.

Menu narration is an accessibility option, separate from game sound effects and commentary. Changing unrelated volume sliders is unlikely to help if only narration or controller-speaker output is affected.

When crowd noise and effects are audible but commentators are not, check whether the console or PC is configured for 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound. In an EA Forums thread titled “No commentary in game,” an EA community manager said that commentary can be inaudible when the audio is set for a 5.1 or 7.1 home theater system that the player does not have, and recommended stereo in that situation. - Open the audio or sound-output settings for the device running FC 26.
- Check the selected speaker or output format against the equipment actually connected.
- If the system is set to 5.1 or 7.1 but you do not have a matching surround setup, switch to stereo and test commentary again.

If all audio is missing on PC
Start with reversible checks before changing drivers. Confirm that Windows is sending sound to the output you are using, then see whether other apps or games produce audio. If other audio works but FC 26 remains silent, check the game’s category sliders and the selected system output.

An EA forum response marked as a solution describes a narrower case involving Realtek audio together with Intel Smart Sound. Its suggested driver reinstall sequence and follow-up checks—such as disabling audio enhancements or trying 48 kHz output—are specific to that configuration. Read the EA forum response. Do not remove or reinstall audio drivers simply because FC 26 has no sound; first verify that your PC has the setup described and consider the system’s normal driver-recovery process.
