In Fate/Grand Order, the characters people often call “heroes” are known as Servants: summoned figures adapted from legend and history, alongside fictional characters. You play as a Master in a single-player, turn-based mobile RPG, building a party of Servants and following a story about a threat to humanity’s future.
What is Fate/Grand Order about?
The story begins with Chaldea, an organization monitoring humanity’s future. When its view of that future disappears, Chaldea investigates an anomaly in Fuyuki in 2004. That investigation launches the Grand Order mission. Ritsuka Fujimaru, a Master candidate, meets Mash Kyrielight, a Servant, and the two are sent into the Fuyuki incident.

Who are the heroes in Fate/Grand Order?
Servant is the game’s term for a summoned heroic spirit or character who can join the player’s forces. Many draw on people and figures from history, mythology, or legend, but they are fictional adaptations rather than necessarily faithful historical portrayals. The word “hero” also does not mean every Servant is morally uncomplicated or conventionally heroic.

The guide also describes choosing party members and considering enemy class matchups, though its older details should not be treated as a definitive guide to every current combat rule.
