Faraday Future has launched two humanoid robots with very different goals: the $2,490 FF Nova is a compact developer and research platform, while the $299 FF Nova Mini is an entry-level education robot for children, classrooms and homes. Nova is initially invitation-only, so its listed price does not mean unrestricted retail availability.
Two robots, two audiences
Faraday Future introduced FF Nova and FF Nova Mini at its October 14 joint product launch. Nova targets developers, researchers, educators, K–12 STEM programs and universities. Nova Mini is designed as a lighter, simpler starting point for learners aged eight and older.

FF Nova: a developer-oriented humanoid with a detachable cart
Price and initial access
FF Nova has a manufacturer’s suggested retail price of $2,490. Faraday Future’s first phase is invitation-only for developers and educational institutions and is capped at 100 units. The company says the first 20 units are immediately deliverable. Later phases are planned to open to all developers and educational institutions before a consumer launch.
Faraday Future names FF.com, FF Mall and its official Amazon store as sales channels. Because phase-one eligibility, inventory and delivery status can change, prospective buyers should confirm the current listing and access requirements before ordering.
Hardware and sensing
Nova has 20 degrees of freedom and measures 497 × 195 × 125 millimeters. The robot weighs approximately 2.8 kilograms. Its detachable mini cart weighs about 2.12 kilograms, giving the platform a second mode for moving around a workspace.

Which model fits which use case?
Choose Nova for development and research
Nova is the logical fit when the priority is a programmable platform with ROS 2 integration, simulation-to-real workflows, richer sensing and a mobile cart. Its higher price, limited first phase and two-to-three-hour stated runtime make it a project platform rather than an impulse purchase.
Choose Nova Mini for a first robotics experience
Nova Mini is the better match for a child, beginner class or family that wants guided experimentation. Its lower weight, block coding, voice commands and pose-recording features reduce the initial learning barrier. The separate Spark Program may suit organized groups that want live instruction, but it adds $499 to the cost.

What buyers should verify before ordering
- Whether the current Nova phase is accepting your developer or institution application.
- Whether a unit is actually in stock and what delivery date is shown.
- Which software versions, SDK documentation and ROS 2 distributions are supported.
- Whether the $499 Spark sessions match your time zone, group size and schedule.
- What supervision, space and safety guidance applies when children use Nova Mini.
Faraday Future’s launch establishes a clear split: Nova is the company’s compact embodied-AI development platform, while Nova Mini is its low-cost educational introduction. The prices are straightforward, but Nova’s restricted first phase and the separate curriculum charge are essential parts of the purchase decision.
