“Fallout: Detour” is the name of a community-made Fallout 4 mod, not a newly announced Bethesda game. Its creator introduced it as a town mod in an October 4, 2026 community post; the Nexus Mods listing records its original upload on October 10 and displays version 1.0.3. The mod adds a settlement-sized destination with quests and other activities, but its listed DLC requirement and PC-focused distribution matter before you try it.
What is Fallout: Detour?
CSEP Presents – Detour – New Town and Quest Mod is a community project created by Pig for Fallout 4. The October 4, 2026 r/FalloutMods post introduced it as a new town mod nearing release. The Nexus Mods listing is the place to check its release details and current files. This is a mod announcement, not an announcement from Bethesda.

What does the mod add?
According to the creator’s Nexus description, Detour adds a new town near Bedford Station, along with characters, quests, vendors, activities, a player home, and apparel. Pig advertises more than a dozen voiced characters and over 600 lines of dialogue, including voiced player dialogue. Those counts are the creator’s feature claims, not independently verified measurements.

Requirements, platform, and version
- Host game: Fallout 4.
- DLC: The listing identifies Nuka World under DLC requirements.
- Optional integration: REPUTATION is described as a soft requirement; an integration patch is included for players who already have it.
- Distribution: The creator’s listing says the mod will not be available on Bethesda.net for console users. Do not treat it as a console release.
- Version shown: Nexus Mods displays version 1.0.3, dated October 10, 2026. The listing’s early changelog records fixes and adjustments across versions 1.0.0 through 1.0.3; check the page for updates rather than assuming that version remains current.
Who made Detour?
The Nexus listing credits Pigness (Pig) with project leadership, development, writing, level design, and quest design. It credits Degenerate Dak with assets, design, and writing assistance, and BP42s with scripting and the REPUTATION patch, among other contributors. The page also states a no-AI policy in the creator notes; that is the author’s policy, not a platform-wide rule.
