Riot inducted one player each year from 2024 through 2026. The Hall identifies honorees; it does not rank them against one another.
Who is in the Hall of Legends?
| Induction year | Inductee | What Riot says |
|---|---|---|
| 2024 | Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok | Riot identifies Faker as the inaugural honoree. Official Hall of Legends |
| 2025 | Uzi | Riot identifies Uzi as the 2025 honoree. Official Hall of Legends |
| 2026 | Caps | Riot welcomes Caps as the 2026 inductee and describes him as an inspiration to a generation of European players. Official Hall of Legends |
Riot calls the Hall its League of Legends esports hall of fame. Its purpose is to recognize professional players for qualities including resilience, mastery, creativity, teamwork and their impact on gameplay. The phrase “most legendary” is a descriptive framing, not an official ranking: membership does not establish that one inductee is greater than another.

How does Riot select Hall of Legends inductees?
Eligibility
Riot says players need five cumulative years in Tier 1 competition to be eligible. Its listed leagues include LCS, LEC, LCP, LPL, LCK and CBLOL, as well as historic leagues such as TCL, OPL, LCL, LLA, PCS, VCS and LJL. Active and retired players can be considered. Riot’s Hall of Legends overview
Nominations and voting
Riot staff across regions nominate approximately 20 eligible players. An external panel of 50 esports veterans, journalists and community members representing regional leagues reviews the nominees and votes. Riot describes the panel as external; the process is not simply a public popularity vote.

Selection criteria
Riot lists regional and international championships, influence on the sport and competitive meta, individual accolades, and broader contributions as criteria. These provide a consistent way to think about the inductees, but Riot’s published material does not provide a player-by-player scorecard or a shared statistic that ranks their legacies. Claims that one Hall member is officially “number one” go beyond what the Hall establishes.
What does induction include?
Riot says each induction is accompanied by content in and outside the game that highlights the player’s accomplishments. The plan includes custom events and cosmetics reflecting each player’s League career; Riot notes that the types of cosmetics may change over time. It also says a portion of proceeds from pass and collection sales goes to the inductee, current and former teams, and the wider LoL Esports ecosystem. Official Hall of Legends
