For a normal payment from a friend, there usually isn’t a Facebook Pay balance to cash out: Meta says the money goes straight to the recipient’s bank account. If you mean creator earnings, sale proceeds, or a refund, those are separate payment flows with their own account controls. Meta now calls the service Meta Pay, and available features vary by location and use case.
First, identify what kind of money you mean
“Facebook Pay” can refer to several different transactions. The right next step depends on whether someone sent you money, Meta owes you creator earnings, you sold something, or you are waiting for a refund.

- Money from a friend or family member: check the bank account that was meant to receive the transfer and review the transaction history.
- Creator earnings: look for payout settings in the Facebook creator or business monetization feature connected to the earnings.
- A sale or refund: open the specific sale, order, or transaction record and use the payout or refund controls shown there.
Personal transfers go to the recipient’s bank
Meta’s Meta Pay page describes payments across Meta apps and participating stores, including sending money. For friend-and-family transfers, Meta states: “When you’re sending money to friends and family, the money goes straight into the recipient’s bank account.” That means this transfer flow does not require the recipient to withdraw funds from a stored Facebook Pay wallet.

- Confirm which bank account was intended to receive the money.
- Check that account and the payment’s transaction history through Meta Pay or Accounts Center.
- If the transaction still cannot be located, use Meta’s in-product help or payment support for that transaction.
The available settings and actions can differ by country, account, app, and payment type. Meta’s Accounts Center help information describes payment management across Meta services and notes that availability can vary by location. Meta does not establish one universal arrival time or cash-out path for every transfer.

Creator earnings use a separate payout flow
Creator monetization earnings are not the same as money sent by a friend through Meta Pay. Meta’s October 2024 announcement of Facebook Content Monetization says the program pays for eligible Reels, longer videos, photos, and text posts based on performance.
To find the relevant controls, open the payout settings associated with the Facebook creator or business monetization feature that generated the earnings. The exact route and available payout options depend on the account. The program announcement does not establish a universal eligibility rule, payout threshold, transfer method, fee, or payment date, so use the details displayed in your own monetization account.

Sale proceeds and refunds belong to their transaction
Money from a Marketplace sale, a purchase refund, or another transaction should be traced through that specific sale, order, or payment record—not treated as a general Meta Pay balance. Open the relevant record and follow the payout or refund controls available there. The appropriate route depends on the transaction and what is available for your account and location.

Adding or removing a saved card or other payment method changes how you pay; it does not by itself show that you can withdraw a Meta Pay balance. Meta’s Meta Pay information describes managing payment activity and transaction history through Accounts Center, while available features vary by use case and location.
