F-Zero GX gold parts are special components for custom machines—not physical collectibles or a documented gold-only performance upgrade. A newly reported four-controller code method offers an alternative to the historically documented F-Zero AX transfer; once the parts are available, buy or select them in the F-ZERO Shop and fit them in customization.
What gold parts unlock
Gold parts are components you can use when building a custom machine. F-Zero GX custom machines combine a body, cockpit, and booster. Official customization information describes what those categories affect, but does not establish a separate gameplay bonus for a component simply because it is gold.

Judge each component by its category, displayed attributes, and the overall weight of your build rather than assuming a gold part is automatically better. The official customization guide explains the component roles.

How to unlock the gold parts
Historically documented method: transfer from F-Zero AX
The original documented route used F-Zero AX, a GameCube memory card containing GX data, and a special F-ZERO license card. After playing AX, the special parts were downloaded to the memory card; when that data was used in GX, the parts appeared in the F-ZERO Shop. This was an event-era method dependent on arcade access and special cards, not a requirement for the recently reported codes. See the archived official AX transfer instructions.

Recently reported method: four-controller inputs
In a report published October 10, 2026, Nintendo Everything listed the following sequences and said each must be entered with four controllers simultaneously. The report claims they work in both the original GameCube release and the Nintendo Switch 2 Nintendo Classics edition. These are secondary-source claims, not independently verified here or confirmed by Nintendo.

How to equip gold parts in a custom machine
- Open the F-ZERO Shop and purchase or select the available custom parts. The instruction booklet describes the purpose as: “Purchase custom parts to create an original machine.”
- Go to customization or the Garage and assemble a machine from a body, cockpit, and booster.
- Review the attributes displayed for each part. Choose according to the handling or speed characteristics you want, and account for the build’s weight.
For component roles, use the official customization guide; the in-game displayed attributes are the practical basis for comparing individual parts.
