EZVIZ’s CB30 Dual Kit is a wire-free outdoor security camera that combines two lenses, a 180-degree horizontal field of view and solar charging. The camera launched with a reported UK retail price of £89.99 on Amazon, against a £99.99 recommended retail price. Its three spotlights provide colour night vision and can flash alongside a siren when the camera’s active-defence mode is triggered.
What the EZVIZ CB30 Dual Kit does
EZVIZ announced the CB30 Dual Kit on 15 October 2026. It is designed for outdoor monitoring without a wired power connection: the camera uses solar energy and a built-in battery to keep operating between periods of sunlight.

The headline feature is its dual-lens arrangement. Together, the lenses cover a 180-degree horizontal view, allowing one camera position to watch a broad frontage, garden edge or driveway. That is a fixed wide-area view rather than a camera that physically rotates through a full circle.
3K 5MP image resolution
The CB30 Dual Kit records at 3K resolution, specified as 5 megapixels. That gives the camera more image detail than basic 1080p outdoor models, although the available detail in a real installation will still depend on lighting, distance, lens positioning and network conditions.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Solar, wire-free operation
Because the camera is solar powered, installation does not require a mains cable routed to the camera. The practical result depends on how much direct light reaches the solar hardware and how often the camera records, so a shaded mounting position can reduce the benefit of the design.
Night vision and active defence
Three built-in spotlights enable full-colour night vision. Rather than relying only on infrared illumination and monochrome footage, the camera can use visible light to retain colour when conditions allow.

The lights also form part of the CB30’s active-defence system. When a detection triggers the feature, the camera can flash its lights and sound a warning siren. This is intended as a deterrent, not as a substitute for an alarm system or a response service. Positioning matters: a siren or flashing light can disturb neighbours if detection zones are set too broadly.

Person and vehicle detection
AI detection distinguishes people and vehicles from other movement. Alerts are delivered through the EZVIZ app, which should reduce the number of notifications caused by undifferentiated motion such as passing animals or moving vegetation. No measured accuracy rate is provided, so detection should be treated as an aid to monitoring rather than a guarantee that every event will be classified correctly.

Adaptive recording with AOV
EZVIZ Always-On Video (AOV) adjusts recording intervals according to the battery power available. The stated aim is to extend monitoring while managing energy consumption: the camera can vary how frequently it records instead of using a single fixed recording pattern regardless of remaining charge. No battery capacity, recording-duration figures or independent test of endurance are provided.
CB30 Dual Kit versus Eufy SoloCam S340
Both products are described as solar-powered, dual-lens cameras, but they take different approaches to coverage and price. The CB30 uses a 180-degree horizontal field of view from its dual-lens system. The SoloCam S340 is described as offering 360-degree pan-and-tilt coverage, meaning its camera mechanism can turn to look around the installation point rather than showing a fixed 180-degree span at once.

| Reported price | £99.99 RRP; £89.99 Amazon launch price | Reported as around twice the CB30’s price |
That makes the choice primarily about the area you need to watch. A fixed 180-degree view can suit a wall, gate or frontage where the camera can be aimed across the scene. Pan-and-tilt coverage is more appropriate when you need to look in different directions from one mounting point, but the SoloCam S340 is listed at roughly twice the CB30’s cost.
Price, availability and what to check
The reported UK recommended retail price is £99.99. At launch, the CB30 Dual Kit was listed on Amazon for £89.99. Both figures are time-sensitive: the launch price may end, and availability can vary by seller and date.

- 5-in-1 Connectivity: Equipped with a 4K HDMI port, a 5 Gbps USB-C data port, two 5 Gbps USB-A ports, and a USB C 100W PD-IN port. Note: The USB C 100W PD-IN port supports only charging and does not support data transfer devices such as headphones or speakers.
- Powerful Pass-Through Charging: Supports up to 85W pass-through charging so you can power up your laptop while you use the hub. Note: Pass-through charging requires a charger (not included). Note: To achieve full power for iPad, we recommend using a 45W wall charger.
- Transfer Files in Seconds: Move files to and from your laptop at speeds of up to 5 Gbps via the USB-C and USB-A data ports. Note: The USB C 5Gbps Data port does not support video output.
- HD Display: Connect to the HDMI port to stream or mirror content to an external monitor in resolutions of up to 4K@30Hz. Note: The USB-C ports do not support video output.
- What You Get: Anker 332 USB-C Hub (5-in-1), welcome guide, our worry-free 18-month warranty, and friendly customer service.
- Confirm that the listing is the dual-camera kit, not a different CB30 package or accessory.
- Check the current delivered price and warranty terms before ordering.
- Choose a mounting point with enough sunlight for the solar system and a clear view across the intended 180-degree span.
- Set person and vehicle detection zones carefully before enabling the siren and flashing-light deterrence.
Who should consider it?
The CB30 Dual Kit fits buyers who want broad, fixed coverage from one solar-powered outdoor camera and who value a lower entry price than the pan-and-tilt alternative described above. Its 3K 5MP video, colour night lighting, person-and-vehicle alerts and adaptive AOV recording give it a more capable specification than a basic motion-only battery camera.
It is less compelling if your priority is mechanical 360-degree viewing from a single point, or if the planned mounting location receives little sunlight. No long-term reliability results, independent battery-life measurements or weather-performance testing are provided, so those factors should be verified from the final listing and owner documentation.
