The first reported Exynos 2700 Geekbench result does not establish a major performance gain over the Exynos 2600. An early listing scored 2,603 in single-core and 10,350 in multi-core—figures Notebookcheck described as broadly in line with the Exynos 2600. What the reported Exynos 2700 benchmark actually shows
The most concrete Exynos 2700 result currently reported is an early Geekbench listing attributed to a reference design:

Notebookcheck also noted that the listed Exynos 2700 frequencies were lower than expected, but a frequency listing is not proof of the final chip’s performance ceiling. Reference-board firmware, cooling, scheduling and unfinished silicon can all change the result before a retail phone ships.
Why the “big jump” headline is not verified
No controlled 2700-versus-2600 test
The available score is a report of one early listing, not a repeatable test of two finished phones using the same Geekbench version, firmware and thermal conditions. There is no material independent benchmark figure establishing how much faster the Exynos 2700 is than the Exynos 2600.

The newer percentage claim compares different chips
A later Notebookcheck report, dated October 2, 2026, attributed a claimed 9.5% Geekbench 6 multi-core advantage over Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 to tipster Ice Universe and other leaks. The report did not provide power-consumption results and said Samsung had not confirmed the Galaxy S27 Ultra configuration. That claim cannot be converted into an Exynos 2700-versus-2600 gain.
Peak performance is not phone performance
Even a genuine peak score would not settle sustained gaming or battery behavior. A meaningful comparison needs the same benchmark version and device conditions, plus sustained runs, graphics workloads, power draw, energy efficiency, thermal throttling and final retail firmware.

What is officially known about the Exynos 2600
Samsung’s official Exynos 2600 product documentation describes a 10-core CPU: one Arm C1-Ultra core and nine Arm C1-Pro cores, divided into three performance-oriented and six efficiency-oriented middle cores. Samsung says the CPU has “a 10-core structure optimized for efficient operation across various use cases.” The product material also identifies the Xclipse 960 GPU, Exynos Neural Super Sampling, camera-processing features and support for cameras up to 320MP. These are manufacturer specifications and claims, not independent benchmark measurements.
Do not confuse Exynos 2600 gains with Exynos 2700 results
Samsung’s 2026 first-quarter interim report presents the Exynos 2600 as a 2nm GAA mobile application processor and gives company-reported improvements over the Exynos 2500:

Those percentages use the Exynos 2500 as the baseline and should not be transferred to the Exynos 2700. A process-node label such as 2nm GAA is also not a benchmark result by itself.
What remains unknown about the Exynos 2700
- Final CPU core configuration and clock speeds
- Sustained performance under heat
- Power draw and energy efficiency
- Thermal-throttling behavior
- Retail-phone firmware and cooling design
- Which Samsung phones and markets will receive it
- Whether the Galaxy S27 Ultra will use it in any particular region
The reviewed October report specifically says Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S27 Ultra configuration. No retail Exynos 2700 phone or standalone chip availability is established by these reports.

How to judge a real Exynos 2700 performance jump
- Match the test platform. Compare retail phones, not a reference design against a finished handset.
- Match software and benchmark versions. Record the Geekbench release, operating-system build, firmware and performance mode.
- Separate workloads. Report single-core and multi-core CPU scores independently from GPU, ray-tracing and AI tests.
- Measure sustained results. Include repeated runs and temperature changes instead of one peak score.
- Record power. A faster score without wattage or energy-per-task data cannot establish better efficiency.
- Check regional models. Samsung may use different processors by market, so the exact phone variant matters.
What this means for buyers today
The Galaxy S26 is an adjacent Exynos 2600 reference point in the early coverage, but it is not an Exynos 2700 device. Anyone evaluating a specific listing should verify its processor and market variant rather than assuming every Galaxy S26 uses the same chip.
