Samsung and Google publish performance claims against their own previous chips, while the available benchmark results come from different devices and chart contexts. On paper, Exynos 2600 emphasizes a 10-core CPU, Xclipse 960 graphics, and gaming features; Tensor G5 is built around Pixel 10 features, including on-device AI and imaging.
How do the specifications compare?
The published specifications offer a useful view of each chip’s design priorities, but they do not establish which one is faster or more efficient. Process-node labels and vendor performance claims are not directly comparable across manufacturers.

| Specification | Exynos 2600 | Google Tensor G5 |
|---|---|---|
| Manufacturing process | Samsung identifies a 2 nm gate-all-around (GAA) process. Samsung Semiconductor | Google identifies TSMC’s 3 nm process. Google |
| CPU | 10 cores using Arm C1-Ultra and C1-Pro cores, according to Samsung. Samsung says CPU performance is up to 39% higher than Exynos 2500. Samsung Semiconductor | Google’s announcement does not provide a full core-count and clock-speed table. It claims average CPU performance is 34% faster than Tensor G4 across Pixel 10 phones, based on internal tests on pre-production devices. Google |
| Graphics | Xclipse 960 graphics. Samsung promotes ray tracing and Exynos Neural Super Sampling (ENSS), which uses AI-based upscaling and frame generation. Samsung Semiconductor | Google’s announcement emphasizes Pixel imaging and AI features rather than publishing a detailed GPU specification. Google |
| AI hardware and features | Samsung describes NPU and on-CPU AI enhancements. Samsung Semiconductor | Google highlights the TPU, Gemini Nano, Magic Cue, Voice Translate, and Tensor-enabled camera features. It claims the TPU is up to 60% more powerful than Tensor G4. Google |
| Phones using the chip | Notebookcheck lists Galaxy S26-family devices with Exynos 2600. Confirm the chipset in the exact regional phone configuration before buying. Notebookcheck | Google says Tensor G5 powers the Pixel 10 series. Google |
The percentages in this table have different baselines and testing contexts: Samsung compares Exynos 2600 with Exynos 2500, while Google compares Tensor G5 with Tensor G4. They should not be used to calculate a winner between Exynos 2600 and Tensor G5. A smaller process-node number also does not, by itself, prove better speed or battery efficiency.

The available evidence does not support a definitive cross-chip speed verdict. The Exynos results currently listed by Notebookcheck are Geekbench 6.7.1 submissions from Galaxy devices. Geekbench’s Android chart separately lists Tensor G5-powered Pixel 10 phones, but its chart context and version details do not match Notebookcheck’s specific Exynos results.

Notebookcheck’s current Exynos 2600 entries span 3,060–3,209 single-core and 10,388–11,034 multi-core in Geekbench 6.7/6.7.1. These are changing database results across listed devices, not scores from a controlled test of one phone against another. Notebookcheck’s Exynos 2600 results
Geekbench says its Android chart uses user-submitted results and includes devices with at least five unique results. Its Tensor G5 entries are therefore useful as chart data, but they are not a matched comparison against the Exynos devices above. A sound head-to-head would use the same benchmark version and settings on identified retail phones, with software versions, power modes, thermal conditions, and repeat counts disclosed. Sustained performance and power use would matter alongside a short CPU score. The available figures do not settle which chip leads in CPU speed, overall performance, or efficiency.

Which processor is better for gaming?
Exynos 2600 has the clearer gaming-oriented feature set in the published material: Samsung specifies Xclipse 960 graphics, promotes ray tracing, and describes ENSS for AI-based resolution upscaling and frame generation. Samsung also claims up to three times smoother gameplay from ENSS. That is a Samsung claim, not an independently verified result against Tensor G5. Samsung Semiconductor

Samsung also claims up to 50% better ray-tracing performance than Exynos 2500. This is a generational comparison within Samsung’s own products; it does not show how Exynos 2600 compares with Tensor G5 in a game or graphics benchmark.
Google’s Tensor G5 announcement does not provide a corresponding detailed GPU specification or a matched gaming test against Exynos 2600. The published information therefore supports describing Samsung’s gaming features, but not naming a proven gaming-performance winner. Actual gameplay can also depend on the phone’s cooling, display resolution, power settings, and game support.

How do their AI capabilities differ?
Samsung presents Exynos 2600’s AI capability through NPU and CPU enhancements and gaming-related ENSS. Google foregrounds Tensor G5’s TPU and features available in Pixel phones, including Gemini Nano, Magic Cue, Voice Translate, and camera processing. These descriptions indicate different product emphases; they are not a shared test of AI speed or quality.
Google says Gemini Nano runs 2.6 times faster and uses twice the efficiency for the cited Pixel Screenshots and Recorder use cases compared with Tensor G4. Google says those figures come from its internal pre-production testing. They are specific to those use cases and that prior-generation comparison, not evidence that Tensor G5 outperforms Exynos 2600 at AI tasks generally. Google’s Tensor G5 announcement

- Please note, this device does not support E-SIM; This 4G model is compatible with all GSM networks worldwide outside of the U.S. In the US, ONLY compatible with T-Mobile and their MVNO's (Metro and Standup). It will NOT work with other CDMA carriers, and it is also not compatible with their MVNO (Visible, Xfinity Mobile, US Mobile, Cricket Wireless, etc).
- Compatibility with certain third-party devices and accessibility accessories, including some hearing aids, may vary depending on manufacturer support, Bluetooth protocols, software compatibility, and regional firmware limitations. For additional hearing aid compatibility information, please refer to Samsung’s official support documentation.

Samsung’s and Google’s AI percentages use different baselines, workloads, and tests. No direct cross-chip AI ranking is established by those claims.
Which phone should you buy?
These processors are components inside phones, not standalone products. Choose between the actual handsets available to you, considering the features you will use and the complete price and support package—not a chip name or an unmatched benchmark score.
- Consider a Pixel 10 if Google’s Pixel-specific AI, camera, and software features are the priority. Google identifies Tensor G5 as the processor in the Pixel 10 series.
- Consider a Galaxy S26-family phone if Samsung’s gaming features, including ray tracing and ENSS, appeal to you. Confirm the exact model’s chipset for your region, since the cited device listings alone do not establish every regional configuration.
- Compare the phones directly on camera results, battery life, display, software support, price, and availability in your country. The chip comparison does not establish which complete phone is better value.
If processor speed is your deciding factor, wait for a same-version test of identified retail phones rather than treating the published generational percentages or separate benchmark charts as a head-to-head result.
