ExeKiller Looks Like a Cyberpunk Western, Not a Red Dead–Blade Runner Crossover

The game behind the “Red Dead Redemption meets Blade Runner” description is most likely ExeKiller, a first-person action-adventure about a bounty hunter in a post-apocalyptic cyberpunk world. The comparison refers to its western character and setting cues alongside its sci-fi noir atmosphere; the available coverage does not report an official connection to either franchise.

What is ExeKiller?

ExeKiller is a game from Paradark Studio. PCGamesN’s January 12, 2026 coverage describes it as a survival-focused, cyberpunk-flavored bounty-hunter adventure starring Denzel Fenix. VGTimes, reporting on January 9, calls it a retro-futuristic first-person action game with western elements.

The phrase “Red Dead meets Blade Runner” is useful shorthand for the contrast in its premise and imagery, not a claim that the games share a world, license, or developer. PCGamesN itself says the gameplay seems closer to Cyberpunk 2077 or Dishonored than Rockstar’s crime series. PCGamesN’s coverage and VGTimes’ report are the sources for these descriptions.

Why the western and sci-fi comparisons fit

The western side

The reported western cues are the bounty-hunter role, revolver imagery, and landscapes such as deserts and canyons. VGTimes describes Denzel Fenix as a bounty hunter working for the Helion corporation. Those details can evoke a western outlaw story, though the setting is not the historical American frontier.

The cyberpunk side

Coverage frames the game as a post-apocalyptic corporate dystopia, with retro-futuristic and noir-like visual cues. VGTimes places its reported story in an alternate 1998 New York, twenty years after a catastrophe called the Great Fire. It also describes S.O.U.L.S as biochips containing their owners’ information. These are reported setting details, not independently confirmed final lore.

What gameplay has been reported

The sources describe a first-person action-adventure that combines exploration with combat and choices about how to handle missions. PCGamesN reports survival-focused play, hacking, gunplay, non-linear missions, and cybernetic upgrades. VGTimes reports a semi-open world, weapon modifications, dynamic weather, radioactive solar storms, and possible stealth, negotiation, or direct-confrontation approaches. Treat these as features described in January 2026 coverage, not a guarantee of final scope or a hands-on assessment.

PCGamesN quotes developers Kasia Widmańska and Amadeusz Wróbel, speaking in the gameplay trailer: “ExeKiller is a first-person action-adventure game that encourages exploration, rewards curiosity, and never holds your hand.”

Has ExeKiller been released, and which platforms are planned?

As of the reporting reviewed here, its release status by October 3, 2026 is not established. VGTimes reported a planned Q1 2026 release for PC (Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. PCGamesN, three days later, described a future Steam release. Those were plans reported in January, not confirmation of a launch. The reviewed coverage also does not establish a current price or physical edition. Check a current official store or developer announcement for availability.

Is this the same cyberpunk game as No Law?

No. No Law is a separate game: Xbox Wire’s developer-authored feature identifies it as Neon Giant’s new first-person shooter IP in development, set in the cyberpunk city of Port Desire. Published December 11, 2025, the feature said release details would follow later. It does not describe the western and bounty-hunter framing associated with ExeKiller. Xbox Wire’s feature on No Law provides that distinction.
