Evil Moon: Unspoken is a single-player, first-person Metroidvania from Neckbolt, and a free demo is reported to arrive during Steam Next Fest on October 19, 2026. The festival timing and demo contents come from ComboCaster’s October 7 report; Steam’s store page currently lists a planned 2027 release but does not confirm the festival or demo date.
What is Evil Moon: Unspoken?
Evil Moon: Unspoken is a 3D first-person action-adventure game developed by Neckbolt and published by Burning Planet Digital. Steam classifies it as an indie game and lists community tags including boomer shooter, FPS, exploration and Metroidvania. Those categories and tags describe how the store presents the game; they are not review assessments.

The setting is Abbadox, a city under a lunar curse that punishes people for speaking aloud. Steam’s description casts Siléncia, a nun who has taken a vow of silence, as the armed protagonist fighting monsters in the cursed city. Its own concise description says, “Evil Moon: Unspoken is a game where combat happens on the way to where you’re going.”
How exploration and combat work
The store page describes five floors of the city to explore in nonlinear order. Progression combines firearms with off-hand items and passive abilities that open routes or reveal secrets. Steam names pistols, shotguns and rocket launchers among the weapons, and gives a grappling hook, walking on water and seeing the invisible as examples of abilities.

The controller-friendly targeting description makes a gamepad a plausible option, but Steam does not require one or identify a compatible model. Check the demo’s input support if controller play matters to you.
What the reported Steam Next Fest demo includes
ComboCaster reported on October 7, 2026 that the free demo would become available on October 19 during Steam Next Fest, which it says runs October 19–26. According to that report, the demo covers the game’s first segment and includes the boomer pistol, a rosary grappling hook and an initial cemetery boss.

Release, platform details and content note
Steam lists the game as not yet available, with a planned release year of 2027. It does not give an exact release date. The store page lists single-player, Steam Cloud and Family Sharing features, and lists English interface text and subtitles; it does not mark English full audio.

The developer’s mature-content note on Steam reads: “Gun violence directed at monsters and skeletons. Dark fantasy themes.”
PC requirements and compatibility
The Steam page includes minimum PC requirements, but its requirements section also carries a Steam client support note stating that Windows 10 and later are required by the client. The older Windows 7+ wording in the game’s minimum requirements should not be read as a guarantee that the current Steam client will run on Windows 7.
