World of Warcraft: Forever is Blizzard’s announced permanent WoW branch set in a reimagined original Azeroth. Blizzard says it launches globally on November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. You can access it with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time; the separately sold upgrade packs are optional.
What is WoW: Forever?
Blizzard describes World of Warcraft: Forever as a new permanent home alongside modern WoW and WoW Classic. Its announced setting falls after the events of Warcraft III: Reforged—Forsaken Kingdom and before Molten Core. Players return to the original continents, progress to level 60, and continue into new stories, experiences, and updates. Blizzard emphasizes the world and its community as central to the project.
The announcement establishes the broad premise, but not a complete launch feature list or a definitive feature-by-feature comparison with modern and Classic WoW. Blizzard says a developer deep-dive covered regions, dungeons, raids, systems, and the Skyborne race; its roundup does not spell out every launch implementation. Class changes, specific activities, professions, and other system details should not be assumed from the announcement alone. Blizzard’s WoW: Forever announcement and roundup
When does it launch, and what does access cost?
Blizzard announced a global launch for November 4, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. PST. Access to WoW: Forever is included with a World of Warcraft Subscription or Game Time, so buying an upgrade edition is not required to play at launch. Blizzard has not stated regional prices in the cited announcement. Blizzard’s launch and access details

How can you get into the beta?
Blizzard says the beta runs through October 21, 2026, which it describes as the last full day of testing. Selected players receive an email invitation with instructions to download the client through the Battle.net desktop app. The Skyborne Epic Pack and the Warcraft Forever Collection include beta access; the Heroic Pack does not.
Beta access is not the same as launch access: a subscription or Game Time covers the game at launch, while the beta invitation or an eligible edition is relevant to testing. Check Blizzard’s beta announcement for current availability and instructions, since testing and shop details can change. Blizzard’s beta announcement

The cited official announcements do not establish regional prices, complete PC system requirements, supported platforms, the full launch-day content list, or a complete feature comparison with modern and Classic WoW.
