New series and seasons premiering in August
Wisting season 4 — August 15
Wisting season 4 arrived as a complete-season binge from Sundance Now, also available through AMC+. Norwegian detective William Wisting investigates a child’s disappearance and a related death after a family receives a ransom demand. It was a full-season release rather than a weekly rollout. AMC Networks’ August announcement identified the Sundance Now and AMC+ relationship.
Under the Vines season 3 — August 19
Acorn TV’s New Zealand romantic dramedy returned through AMC+ on August 19. Daisy Monroe and Louis Oakley continued running their vineyard while dealing with a claimant who said he owned half the property. Episodes were scheduled weekly on Mondays; the announced cadence implies an August 26 episode, although that individual date was not separately listed in the release.

Fifteen-Love — August 22
This Sundance Now sports thriller premiered through AMC+ with two episodes on August 22, followed by weekly Thursday episodes. A former tennis prodigy makes an explosive allegation against her former coach, setting up a conflict involving abuse, ambition and control. Ella Lily Hyland and Aidan Turner star. The season was scheduled to continue through a September 19 finale, so it was not an August binge.
Sommerdahl Murders season 5 — August 26
Acorn TV released all of season 5 at once through AMC+. Danish detectives Dan Sommerdahl and Detective Superintendent Flemming Torp investigated four new cases in the coastal town of Helsingør.
Horror’s Greatest — August 27
Shudder’s documentary series premiered on AMC+ on August 27. Filmmakers, actors, writers, composers and effects artists examine horror subgenres, recurring tropes, international traditions and the appeal of frightening stories.

Returning series with new August episodes
Snowpiercer season 4
The post-apocalyptic drama continued its weekly Sunday run on AMC and AMC+ on August 4, 11, 18 and 25. Survivors remain aboard a perpetually moving train after Earth freezes. Jennifer Connelly and Daveed Diggs lead the cast; Clark Gregg and Michael Aronov joined the season. This was a continuation of a season that began in July, not an August premiere.
Orphan Black: Echoes
AMC, AMC+ and BBC America released new episodes on Sundays, August 4, 11, 18 and 25, with the August 25 episode serving as the season finale. Krysten Ritter stars and executive-produces the science-fiction thriller about identity, scientific manipulation, love and betrayal. The series had premiered before August.
Planet Earth: Mammals
BBC America and AMC+ aired new episodes on Saturdays, August 3, 10, 17 and 24; August 24 was the finale. Sir David Attenborough narrates the natural-history series. AMC Networks’ press-release archive confirms the August 3 and August 10 listings.

Signora Volpe season 2
Acorn TV episodes were available through AMC+ on Mondays, August 5 and 12, with the latter date serving as the season finale. Former British spy Sylvia Fox investigates crimes while living in Umbria. The announcement also described availability on BBC America; it did not establish a separate AMC+-exclusive premiere.

Titles promoted by AMC Networks but not counted as AMC+ releases
AMC Networks’ monthly announcement covered more services than AMC+. Kold x Windy season 2 was identified as an ALLBLK original, not an AMC+ title. The Braxtons premiered on We TV and ALLBLK, while the older Braxton Family Values library series was added to ALLBLK and AMC+ on August 15; that was a catalog addition, not a new AMC+ series premiere. HIDIVE’s weekly English-dub episodes of My Instant Death Ability Is Overpowered were likewise listed under HIDIVE, not AMC+.
The same announcement included films such as Force of Nature: The Dry 2, Ghostlight, Dancing Village: The Curse Begins, Hell Hole and Divinity. They are omitted here because this is a television schedule.

What “available on AMC+” meant
AMC+ carried AMC and BBC America programs directly and also bundled programming from Acorn TV, Sundance Now and Shudder. That means a title such as Wisting could be promoted as a Sundance Now release while also being accessible to an AMC+ subscriber; it does not make the show an AMC-branded original or an AMC+ exclusive. Release timing could also coincide with AMC, BBC America or a service’s linear channel.
This was a U.S.-focused August 2024 schedule. Catalog access, channel feeds and episode timing can differ by country, subscription arrangement and later licensing changes. For current availability, consult the official AMC+ site and its shows catalog.
The Bottom Line
For August 2024, AMC+ offered a mix of weekly AMC and BBC America episodes, Acorn TV and Sundance Now premieres and binges, plus Shudder horror programming. The clearest binge choices were Wisting and Sommerdahl Murders; Snowpiercer, Orphan Black: Echoes and Planet Earth: Mammals were continuing weekly shows.
