Everpure says its new PureKVA capability for FlashBlade can cut time to first token (TTFT) by up to 20× by pre-staging inference context directly in GPU memory. The company also announced an always-on mode of DeepReduce. The 20× figure is a vendor claim: StorageReview reports that Everpure had not published the test setup, so it should not be treated as a result guaranteed for every model or workload.
What PureKVA does
PureKVA stands for Key-Value Accelerator. Everpure describes it as a FlashBlade capability that pre-stages inference context directly into GPU memory. The aim is to make that context available sooner during inference, reducing the time before a model produces its first token.

Everpure says this design supports enterprise multi-tenancy without moving datasets. It presents reduced GPU idle time, higher token throughput and less response lag as intended benefits, but the announcement does not include independent measurements for those outcomes. Everpure’s September 30, 2026 announcement describes the feature and its claims.

Time to first token measures the wait from an inference request until the model begins returning output. It is distinct from the time needed to generate the full response: a system can start sooner without necessarily completing the whole answer proportionally faster.

The “up to 20× faster” figure is Everpure’s stated maximum, not a published benchmark result that readers can reproduce or apply directly to their own deployment. StorageReview’s September 30, 2026 coverage reports that the test setup had not been published. The available announcement and coverage do not establish the workload, context length, GPU and system configuration, software versions, comparison baseline or how representative the maximum is. No independent performance measurements are provided in these sources.
As a result, the claim does not establish that a particular FlashBlade installation will deliver a 20× improvement, nor does it show a matching increase in overall generation speed. Treat it as a vendor-stated ceiling whose relevance depends on conditions Everpure has not disclosed in the cited material.

How to evaluate PureKVA for a real workload
A useful evaluation should compare the existing setup and the proposed configuration under the same models, inputs and operating conditions. Ask for measurements rather than assuming the headline maximum applies.
Recommended Free Tools
- TTFT: Measure request-to-first-token latency with representative input and context lengths.
- Throughput and concurrency: Check tokens per second and response behavior as simultaneous requests increase.
- GPU utilization: Determine whether the change reduces idle time in the actual workload.
- Data locality and movement: Establish what context is staged, how it reaches GPU memory, and whether datasets need to move.
- Multi-tenancy: Verify isolation and performance when multiple teams or workloads share the system.
- Storage effects and total cost: Assess capacity, write-path impact and cost at the workload’s expected scale.
The announcement does not provide comparative results on these measures; they are questions to resolve in a deployment evaluation, not benefits established by the published evidence.

What always-on DeepReduce is intended to do
Everpure says Always-On DeepReduce continuously scans storage blocks across FlashBlade systems for sub-block similarities that conventional deduplication may miss, including similarities in pre-compressed content. The company says capacity expands automatically, without affecting write performance or requiring manual scheduling.
Those capacity and performance statements are Everpure’s claims. The announcement does not provide independent measurements that quantify savings or verify the asserted lack of write-performance impact.

Open-weight models and token use
Everpure also describes a reference architecture using open-weight models. It says this approach can give enterprises greater control over data and more predictable AI spending while reducing reliance on external API tokens. The announcement names no specific model and provides no measured reduction in API-token use, so the architecture’s potential savings cannot be quantified from the published details.

Everpure’s September 30, 2026 release stated that the new capabilities would be available in October 2026. It gave no exact day or deployment qualifications in the announcement, so the stated window is not confirmation that every feature has shipped or is available to every FlashBlade customer.
