Will it fit an existing countertop?
Measure the countertop opening and the appliance, rather than relying on a rounded listing. The manual gives the CBEE652’s body dimensions as 590 × 520 × 46 mm and its cut-out as 560 × 490 mm. CHOICE rounds the body to 59 × 52 cm and lists the same 56 × 49 cm installation opening.
Before purchase, verify measurements against the specific unit and the installation requirements. A matching cut-out is only one part of replacement compatibility; the electrical supply and installation conditions also need checking.

The manual specifies a 230–240 Vac, 50 Hz supply and a rated input of 5900 W. This is the appliance’s stated electrical rating, not an estimate of energy used during a typical cooking session. The unit is directly wired to the mains; it is not described as a plug-in replacement.
The manual says installation is permitted only by a licensed electrician and that the home wiring must be able to handle the cooktop’s power rating. It also requires nearby furniture to tolerate a temperature rise of at least 100°C above room ambient while the appliance is operating. Have a licensed electrician assess the installation before purchase if you are unsure whether the existing wiring and cabinetry are suitable.
