A manual index for the SC1D1 AUS/NZ manual lists a 0.6 L boiler capacity and 3.5 bar pressure. Those figures identify the regional model; they should not be assumed to describe an identically named unit sold in another voltage market.

How the dual-tank system works
Fill the boiler with water to generate steam. The front reservoir is a separate dosing system for Antibak solution. Steam loosens soil and lifts residue from a compatible sealed floor; the solution circuit is intended to add the sanitising treatment described by Euroflex. Because the solution is not meant to enter the boiler, the machine avoids heating Antibak in the steam path.
Euroflex Australia states: “Antibak can only be used with the VapourM3 Superclean Floor Steamer (models SC1d1 or previous model EZ2).” Treat that as a model-specific restriction, not a general invitation to use the liquid in other steam appliances. Do not substitute another detergent, disinfectant or fragrance in either tank unless the current SC1D1 instructions explicitly permit it.

Safe filling sequence
- Unplug the steamer and allow it to cool completely before opening a tank.
- Use clean water in the boiler, following the fill mark and the SC1D1 instructions.
- Put Antibak only in the front solution tank, and only if you intentionally want to use that treatment.
- Close both caps securely, inspect for spills and attach the selected floor head or pad.
- Never pour Antibak into the boiler. If solution enters the boiler accidentally, stop using the machine and obtain model-specific service advice rather than continuing to heat it.
What it can—and cannot—clean
Sealed hard floors
Euroflex positions its floor steamers for sealed hard-surface floors. That generally means a properly sealed tile, stone, vinyl or hard-finish surface that the flooring manufacturer says can tolerate steam. Steam can force moisture into gaps, damaged finish or porous material, so test an inconspicuous area and follow the flooring maker’s care guidance. Do not assume that a surface is sealed because it looks glossy.

Carpets and rugs
The included carpet sledge is a refresh accessory. Euroflex’s FAQ says it will “ONLY deodorise and refresh carpets and rugs, it will not clean the carpets or rugs.” It is therefore not a substitute for hot-water extraction, dry cleaning or a dedicated carpet-washing machine. Use it to freshen a stable, colourfast carpet when the carpet manufacturer allows steam, and keep expectations to odour reduction and surface refresh.
Unsealed, waxed or heat-sensitive surfaces
Do not use steam on unsealed timber, damaged laminate, waxed finishes, delicate paint or any surface whose manufacturer prohibits heat or moisture. A steam mop can loosen coatings, swell joints or drive water beneath a finish. The SC1D1’s pressure rating does not override those material restrictions.
Using the SC1D1: a practical workflow
The exact controls and indicator sequence should come from the SC1D1 AUS/NZ manual. The following workflow reflects the machine’s published tank arrangement and the decisions an owner needs to make before each session.

Vacuum or sweep loose grit first. Steam is for damp cleaning; it is not a dry debris collector, and grit can scratch a finish when dragged under a pad.
- Choose a pad. Fit a clean microfiber pad appropriate to the floor head. A saturated or dirty pad spreads soil instead of removing it.
- Check the surface. Confirm that the floor is sealed and steam-safe. On a new or uncertain finish, test a hidden area and wait for it to dry before proceeding.
- Fill the boiler. With the unit unplugged and cool, add water to the boiler’s marked limit. Do not overfill and do not add Antibak or detergent to this tank.
- Decide on Antibak. If using the approved solution, add it to the front tank only. Steam-only operation remains the simpler option when you do not need the additional treatment.
- Connect power safely. Plug into a suitable 220–240 V outlet. Keep the cord behind the cleaning path and away from hot or wet areas.
- Allow heating. Wait for the machine’s ready indication rather than moving it while it is still heating. Keep the head parked on a safe surface during pauses.
- Work in controlled passes. Move at a steady walking pace, using overlapping passes without flooding the floor. Spend less time on wood-look seams, grout damage and other moisture-sensitive areas.
- Change pads when needed. Stop and replace a pad once it is visibly soiled or wet enough to leave excess moisture. Let the floor dry before walking on it.
- Shut down and cool. Unplug the unit, release or wait out residual heat as the manual directs, empty appropriate tanks and store the cable and accessories dry.
Sanitising claims: what is established
Euroflex’s product page claims the Vapour M3S kills “99.9% of germs on contact” and keeps floors disinfected “for up to 28 days.” These are manufacturer claims. The page does not provide enough information about the organism list, surface, contact time, preparation, laboratory method or publication date to present the figures as independently verified household performance.

In practice, disinfection depends on heat reaching the surface for the required time, removing soil that can shield microbes, using a clean pad and avoiding rapid passes that leave the area cooler than expected. A steam mop is not a guarantee that every part of a floor has been disinfected, and it does not replace hand hygiene or a product registered for a specific medical or regulatory use.

CHOICE’s visible listing names the following supplied items. Package contents can change by region or seller, so compare the box contents with the listing before paying.

Cleaning and replacing microfiber pads
Euroflex Australia says replacement microfiber pads are sold through its store or the original retailer. The same guidance describes the pads as washable and says lifespan can reach hundreds of uses depending on use and care. “Hundreds” is not a guaranteed cycle count: abrasive floors, heavy soil, high heat, harsh washing and delayed drying can shorten life.

Washing routine
- Remove the pad after the machine has cooled enough to handle it safely.
- Hand-wash with mild soap or use a gentle washing-machine cycle.
- Air-dry completely before storage or refitting.
- Do not use bleach or fabric softener; both can damage fibres or reduce absorbency.
- Retire a pad when it is thinning, shedding, permanently stained, no longer absorbing or leaving streaks after washing.
The phrase “Euroflex Vapour M3S SC1D1 replacement microfiber pads” is more precise than generic Vapour pad wording. The official US accessories catalogue shows pads, brushes and other parts, but its surfaced listings do not establish SC1D1 compatibility for every item. Confirm the exact model code, pad shape, retailer region and return policy before ordering. A pad that physically fits another Euroflex head may still have the wrong fibre or attachment pattern.

Price, stock and the discontinued question
Euroflex Australia displayed A$429 and “Out of Stock”. CHOICE also displays $429 and labels the product discontinued. Those are source-specific listing states, not proof of a universal current price or proof that every remaining, used or refurbished unit has disappeared.
Stock and support can vary by country. Before buying, ask the seller to confirm that the box is the SC1D1 AUS/NZ version, that the two-year warranty applies in your location, and that pads and any required Antibak solution can still be obtained. A listing that uses only “Vapour M3S” without SC1D1 identification deserves extra verification.
Questions to ask a seller
- Is the model label actually SC1D1, rather than the earlier EZ2 or another Vapour variant?
- Is the plug and voltage suitable for your country?
- Is the machine new, old stock, refurbished or used, and how is warranty handled?
- Are both mop pads, the carpet accessories, funnel, refill bottle and parking pad included?
- Can the seller identify a current source for SC1D1-compatible replacement pads?
- Has the boiler been stored dry and has the unit been checked for leaks or electrical damage?
Is the SC1D1 worth buying?
It makes the most sense for a buyer with sealed hard floors who values a long 7 m cable, a stainless-steel boiler and the option of a dedicated sanitising-solution tank. The 3 kg published weight is moderate for a corded steamer, and the supplied refill tools and two pads reduce the need for immediate accessories.
The value case weakens if you need a currently listed product with predictable parts supply, want to wash carpets, or prefer a single-tank appliance with no consumable solution. The 0.6 L boiler is not a promise of a particular room-size run time: steam output, floor condition, pauses and refill practice determine how often you stop. Likewise, the 3.5 bar figure describes pressure, not a measured cleaning score.

The carpet sledge is designed to refresh and deodorise, not remove embedded soil. Vacuum first and use a carpet-cleaning method suitable for the fibre when a deeper clean is required.
Solution was poured into the boiler
Do not operate the machine. Disconnect power, keep the unit upright and contact Euroflex or an authorised service provider for SC1D1-specific advice. Continuing to heat an incorrectly filled boiler can damage internal components.
Replacement part does not fit
Stop rather than forcing it. Recheck the SC1D1 code, regional variant and attachment style, then ask the retailer to confirm compatibility. The US parts catalogue is not, by itself, proof that every listed component fits the Australia/New Zealand SC1D1.
Bottom-line buying decision
