The 220–240-volt figure must not be applied to a US appliance, and the 120-volt manual must not be treated as proof that an imported European unit is safe on a US outlet. A plug adapter does not convert voltage. Buying across borders can also complicate warranty service and spare parts.
How its cleaning system is supposed to work
Steam and microfiber in one pass
The operating idea is straightforward: heat water, release steam onto the floor, and move the microfiber pad over the loosened soil. The pad is washable, so it is intended to be reused rather than discarded after each room. Soil pickup still depends on the floor’s condition, the pad being clean enough to absorb dirt and the operator moving at an appropriate pace.
Front steam jets
Euroflex highlights frontal jets for extra reach at edges and for stubborn patches. They may help direct steam beyond the main plate, but Euroflex’s published information does not provide a measured edge-cleaning score or a test method. Do not assume that a jet can replace manual agitation or spot treatment on baked-on residue.
Heated, moisture-reducing plate
The heated plate is marketed as a way to leave less moisture and reduce streaking. Product pages also use language such as dry or low-moisture steam and fast, streak-free cleaning. These are manufacturer claims. No disclosed independent test measures the M2R’s remaining floor moisture, drying time or streak rate.

Claims about temperature and germs
Euroflex Australia additionally advertises steam at 130°C and 99.9% germ removal. Those figures appear as vendor claims on that regional page, not as independently validated M2R results published by an independent testing body. They should not be read as a guarantee for every organism, floor, pass speed or household condition.
Where you can use it—and where you should not
Sealed hard floors
The manual permits use on sealed surfaces. That normally means the floor’s finish forms a continuous barrier against moisture, but the floor manufacturer’s care instructions take priority. Test an inconspicuous area if the finish is old, damaged, waxed or otherwise uncertain. Stop if the surface shows whitening, lifting, swelling, color change or excessive moisture.
Unsealed wood and other moisture-sensitive surfaces
Do not use the M2R on an unsealed floor under the manual’s stated limitation. Steam can enter joints or porous material and cause damage that a short demonstration may not reveal. Similar caution applies to any surface whose maker prohibits steam cleaning.
Carpets and rugs
Euroflex describes the machine as suitable for refreshing carpets and rugs. The US-market manual lists a carpet microfiber pad among the package contents. That package list is not proof that every regional box includes the same accessory, so confirm the contents before buying. “Refreshing” should not be interpreted as deep extraction, stain removal or a substitute for a carpet washer.
Safe operation: the non-negotiable rules
The manual’s warning is explicit: "The steam released from the appliance is extremely hot. Both appliance and accessory tools may scald." Steam and the attached tools can burn skin, and a recently used pad or floor head can remain hot.

- Do not open the boiler cap while the cleaner is operating or still pressurized.
- Disconnect the appliance and let it cool before filling, changing a pad or carrying out maintenance.
- Keep children and pets away from the hot head, cord and wet cleaning path.
- Use the exact manual for your market version and follow the flooring manufacturer’s instructions.
Water, additives and maintenance
Which water to use
The manual allows tap water. Where local tap water is very hard, it allows distilled or demineralized water to reduce mineral buildup. Your local water quality determines which option is sensible; the manual’s instruction for the specific market version controls.

Do not add detergent, perfume, oil or other chemicals. The manual says additives can damage the cleaner and void the warranty. A scented solution may seem convenient, but the boiler and seals are not documented as compatible with it.
Pad and accessory care
Use the washable microfiber pad as directed and allow it to be handled safely after cooling. The manual says to use only manufacturer-recommended accessories and spare parts. Generic pads may have the wrong dimensions, attachment method or heat tolerance, so confirm exact M2R/SC1Z1 compatibility before ordering replacements.
A cautious setup and cleaning routine

- Use the front jets deliberately. Aim them only at an approved surface and keep hands, feet and nearby objects clear of the hot plume.
- Stop before refilling. If water is needed, disconnect the cleaner and allow it to cool as instructed. Never remove the boiler cap during operation.
- Shut down and store safely. Disconnect the appliance, let the head and accessories cool, remove or handle the pad as directed, and store the unit where the cord and hot parts cannot create a hazard.
What independent evidence actually shows

Replacement pads deserve the same scrutiny. The manual recommends manufacturer-approved accessories and spare parts, but current supply and exact compatibility can vary by market. Confirm that a replacement is explicitly rated for SC1Z1/Vapour M2R before ordering.
