Short answer: the Euroflex MC1X5 is a corded, 400-watt heated mop system with two separate jobs: dry dusting with a paper wipe and hot/wet cleaning with a microfiber pad fed by a 100 ml tank. Its instruction manual describes moist heat, not a documented steam boiler or measured steam output. It can suit sealed hard-floor cleaning when you follow the water, pad and safety instructions, but the evidence does not support independent claims about sanitizing, instant drying, durability or value.
The most important limitation is surface compatibility. The manual says, “NEVER use on painted or wallpapered surfaces in HOT/WET Mode!” You also must keep the heated head moving, park the plugged-in appliance on its rest pad, and let it cool before removing the hot pad.

MC1X5 verdict at a glance
| Question | What the available model-specific evidence shows |
|---|---|
| What is it? | A corded household mop system with dry-dusting and hot/wet modes. |
| How is heat produced? | The manual documents a 400-watt heated mop and moist heat. It does not establish a boiler, steam pressure or a measured steam plume. |
| Electrical specification | 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, 400 W, as printed in the MC1X5 manual. This is a regional specification, not a universal-voltage rating. |
| Water capacity | 100 ml (3.38 oz). |
| Dry cleaning | Uses a paper dusting wipe to collect loose dust and debris. |
| Hot/wet cleaning | Uses a microfiber pad dampened from the tank after a two-minute wait following plug-in. |
| Coverage | A datasheet hosted by Manualshelf claims that 100 ml can clean over 90 square metres. That is a manufacturer datasheet claim, not an independent test result. |
| Best fit | Owners who want one corded appliance for dry pickup followed by heated, damp wiping on compatible sealed floors. |
| Major reasons to hesitate | Small tank, corded reach, limited evidence for performance claims, and a clear prohibition on painted or wallpapered surfaces in hot/wet mode. |
The manual provides the clearest source for operation, electrical data and warnings. Marketing descriptions remain claims instead of measured results.

The MC1X5 is identified in its instruction manual as the Monster Mop Cleaning System. It combines a dry dusting attachment and a heated wet-cleaning attachment in one corded appliance. In dry mode, a paper dusting wipe gathers loose particles. In hot/wet mode, a microfiber pad receives water from the built-in tank and is heated while you clean.

- Read Before You Buy — No Video Output: These adapters support charging and USB 2.0 data transfer, but cannot transmit video signals. Except for standard USB webcams (which use USB data only), they are not compatible with HDMI/DisplayPort cables, video-capable USB-C hubs, or docking stations with video output.
- Convert USB-A Ports to USB-C: Designed to connect USB-C earphones, cables, flash drives, card readers, and other USB-C accessories to standard USB-A ports. Plug-and-play with no drivers or software required.
- Aluminum Alloy Housing: Built with a sturdy aluminum alloy shell that aids in heat dissipation and protects against daily wear and scratches. Designed to maintain a stable and secure connection.
- Compact & Travel-Friendly: The ultra-compact design allows the adapter to stay plugged into your device without blocking adjacent ports or adding bulk, reducing wear and tear on your original USB ports.
- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
Retailer and search labels sometimes call the product a steam mop. That wording goes beyond what the manual establishes. The document specifies a 400-watt heated mop, a 100 ml reservoir and moist heat, but it does not describe a steam boiler, steam pressure, steam volume or a steam-temperature measurement for this model. Treat “steam” as an informal label unless a model-specific primary document provides those missing details.
How the two modes differ
- Dry dusting: attach the paper dusting wipe and use the mop to collect loose dust and debris without adding water.
- Hot/wet cleaning: fill the tank, attach the microfiber pad, plug in, wait two minutes, then lower the handle so liquid is released onto the pad. The heated, damp pad performs the wiping.
The manual recommends dry-mode cleaning first. Removing loose grit before introducing moisture reduces the chance that debris is dragged across the floor and gives the hot/wet pass a more focused job.
MC1X5 specifications and what each number means
| Specification | Documented value | Practical implication |
|---|---|---|
| Model | MC1X5 | Check this exact model before ordering pads or a bundle. |
| Input | 220–240 V AC | Intended for regions using this voltage range. Readers in regions with different mains voltage should not assume compatibility. |
| Frequency | 50/60 Hz | The manual lists both frequencies, but the plug and local electrical approval still matter. |
| Power | 400 W | This is the appliance’s rated electrical draw, not a measured floor temperature or cleaning-performance score. |
| Tank capacity | 100 ml / 3.38 oz | A compact reservoir; the actual area per fill depends on pad condition, release rate and floor soil. |
| Warm-up/use sequence | Wait two minutes after plugging in before lowering the handle | Do not begin by pressing the handle down immediately after connection. |
| Cleaning attachments | Microfiber pad and paper dusting wipe | Both are consumable or replaceable items identified by the manual. |
| Rest accessory | Mop rest pad | Use it whenever the plugged-in appliance is not in use and while the unit cools. |
The 220–240 V rating deserves special attention. A plug adapter only changes the plug shape; it does not convert voltage. If your household supply is outside the manual’s range, obtain a version approved for your region or ask a qualified electrical professional about compatibility. Do not infer suitability from a retailer photograph or from the fact that the motor is rated at 400 W.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minuteHow to use the MC1X5 in the order the manual describes
1. Prepare for dry dusting
- Make sure the appliance is unplugged before fitting an attachment.
- Attach the paper dusting wipe securely to the mop head.
- Use the dry mode to collect loose dust and debris from the floor.
- Remove and replace the wipe when it is no longer collecting effectively.
The manual’s recommended sequence is to complete this dry pass before hot/wet cleaning. It does not establish a special chemical or detergent requirement; the documented wet-mode liquid is water.

2. Fill and fit the hot/wet setup
- Fill the tank with tap water. Where tap water is very hard, the manual says to use distilled or demineralized water instead.
- Attach the microfiber pad before connecting power.
- Place the appliance where you can move continuously and have the mop rest pad available.
- Plug the appliance into a supply matching the manual’s 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz specification.
- Wait two minutes after plugging in.
- Lower the handle to release liquid onto the microfiber pad, then begin moving the mop.
The two-minute step is not a suggestion to leave the head on the floor. Keep the mop positioned safely and use the rest pad if it is not being moved.
3. Manage the pad and water while cleaning
- Keep the mop moving during hot/wet cleaning; do not hold a heated head in one place.
- Check the microfiber pad periodically. The manual says to replace it when it is dirty or overly dry.
- Refill the tank when you need to continue and the water supply is exhausted.
- When finished, place the appliance on the mop rest pad, unplug it, and allow it to cool there.
- Only remove the hot microfiber pad or store the appliance after it has cooled.
Surface compatibility: where caution matters most
Painted and wallpapered surfaces
The manual’s strongest surface warning is explicit: “NEVER use on painted or wallpapered surfaces in HOT/WET Mode!” Do not reinterpret this as a recommendation to reduce water or make shorter passes. The prohibition applies to the mode itself.
Heat-sensitive and delicate finishes
The MC1X5 manual and referenced materials do not provide a complete list of approved flooring materials, temperature limits for every finish, or a laboratory test of moisture tolerance. That means a reader should not transfer the product’s heated-mop instructions to unsealed wood, waxed finishes, laminates with vulnerable joints, delicate coatings or other heat-sensitive materials without checking the flooring manufacturer’s guidance. If a floor maker permits damp heated cleaning, start in an inconspicuous area, use the minimum moisture that still cleans, and keep the head moving.

Never park a hot head on the floor
Leaving the mop stationary while hot/wet is prohibited in the manual. Heat and moisture concentrated in one spot can affect a finish even when a moving pass is acceptable. The mop rest pad is the designated parking surface for the plugged-in appliance and the cooling surface after use.

Pads, wipes, water and routine care
Which pads fit?
The manual identifies a microfiber pad for hot/wet cleaning and a paper dusting wipe for dry use. It also refers to replacement microfiber pads and replacement paper dusting wipes. The manual and referenced pages do not establish current stock, exact part numbers, dimensions or a current official purchase link. Before buying a third-party item, verify that the listing names MC1X5 compatibility and matches the attachment method; a generic cloth that sits loosely can change moisture distribution and may not be safe on a heated head.
When to change the microfiber pad
A pad that is dirty or overly dry should be replaced during continued cleaning, according to the manual. “Overly dry” matters because the wet mode is designed around a dampened pad, while a dirty pad can redistribute soil instead of lifting it. Keep spare, model-compatible pads available if you plan to clean more than a small area in one session.
Water choice and mineral buildup
Use tap water unless your local supply is too hard; in that case, the manual directs you to distilled or demineralized water. The document does not provide a mineral-hardness threshold or a descaling schedule. Do not add chemicals unless a current model-specific instruction explicitly permits them. Empty or store the appliance only after following the cooling and unplugging instructions.
The mop rest pad
The rest pad is part of the operating safety procedure, not merely a storage convenience. Use it whenever the plugged-in appliance is not in use and while the heated unit cools. The cited pages do not prove that a separately sold replacement rest pad is available, so confirm accessory supply before purchase if losing this part would make the appliance impractical for you.

What is proven performance and what remains a claim?
| Statement | Evidence status | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Dry dusting and hot/wet modes exist | Documented in the MC1X5 manual | A basic operating feature, not a performance score. |
| 400 W heating, 100 ml tank and 220–240 V input | Documented in the manual | Technical specifications for the identified model and region. |
| Wait two minutes before lowering the handle | Documented operating instruction | Follow this sequence for wet-mode use. |
| “Revolutionary Exothermic Technology” | Manufacturer datasheet language | A product description, not independent proof of heat transfer or cleaning benefit. |
| More than 90 square metres from 100 ml | Claim in a datasheet hosted by Manualshelf | Do not treat it as a guaranteed coverage figure; conditions and testing method are not independently established. |
| Instant-dry or sanitizing results | Not independently established for MC1X5 | Do not assume a dry floor or pathogen reduction from heated, moist wiping alone. |
| 120°C heat-transfer information on a current Thermal-range page | Context for other Thermal models | It does not prove MC1X5 pad temperature, coverage, drying time or sanitization. |
No named independent study or statistical performance result for the MC1X5 is published in the cited materials. Consequently, this review cannot responsibly assign a cleaning score, drying time, durability rating or value ranking. A heated pad may feel different from a conventional cold damp cloth, but the cited materials do not quantify how much soil it removes or how quickly a particular floor dries.
MC1X5 versus a conventional steam mop: the right comparison questions
Calling the MC1X5 a steam mop can create an inaccurate apples-to-apples comparison. A conventional steam mop normally advertises a boiler or steam-generation system; the MC1X5 manual instead specifies a heated mop with water released onto a microfiber pad. Compare the following attributes rather than assuming that both appliances produce the same kind of vapor.
| Comparison point | What is established for MC1X5 | What to verify on another mop |
|---|---|---|
| Cleaning mechanism | Water dampens a microfiber pad; the mop supplies heat. | Whether the competitor generates pressurized steam or heats a pad directly. |
| Moisture delivery | Handle-lowering action releases liquid onto the pad after the two-minute wait. | Continuous steam, selectable steam levels, or pad wetting from a reservoir. |
| Heat-up | Manual instructs a two-minute wait after plug-in. | Published heat-up time under the same definition. |
| Floor restrictions | Never use hot/wet mode on painted or wallpapered surfaces; other finishes need compatibility checking. | Its own approved-surface list and exclusions. |
| Electrical region | 220–240 V AC, 50/60 Hz. | Voltage, plug, certification and regional model. |
| Reach | Corded appliance; the manual extract does not state cord length. | Cord length, swivel range or battery runtime. |
| Consumables | Microfiber pads, paper dusting wipes and a mop rest pad are identified; current prices and stock are not provided. | Pad cost, availability, laundering instructions and replacement interval. |
| Evidence quality | Manual specifications and attributed datasheet claims; no independent numeric test result is published. | Named laboratory or editorial testing performed on the exact model. |
On this evidence, it would be wrong to rank the MC1X5 as better or worse than every steam mop. It is better described as a heated, damp-pad system whose advantages depend on your floor, outlet and tolerance for consumable replacement.

Who should consider the MC1X5?
It may make sense when you need
- A single corded appliance that can dust first and then perform a heated wet pass.
- A compact water tank and do not mind refilling it for larger jobs.
- Cleaning on a sealed, manufacturer-approved hard floor rather than painted or wallpapered surfaces.
- A product whose basic operating procedure is simple: fit the pad, add water, wait two minutes, dampen and keep moving.
Look elsewhere or verify more carefully when you need
- A true steam-pressure system with published steam output or boiler specifications.
- Battery operation or a long, documented cord reach.
- Guaranteed sanitization, independently measured drying time or laboratory cleaning scores.
- Use on painted floors, wallpapered surfaces or finishes that your flooring manufacturer labels heat-sensitive.
- Guaranteed access to low-cost replacement pads and wipes; current availability is not confirmed by the cited materials.
Before buying: a practical checklist
- Confirm the exact model. Listings may use names such as MC1X5 or MC1X5PACK. A bundle listing can contain different accessories from a standard package, so read the included-items list rather than assuming every package is identical.
- Check voltage and plug. The manual’s 220–240 V AC rating is regional. Verify that the appliance is approved for your country.
- Confirm floor compatibility. Exclude painted and wallpapered surfaces from hot/wet use and obtain finish-specific guidance for any delicate floor.
- Price the consumables. Verify model compatibility, availability and recurring cost for microfiber pads and paper wipes before relying on the appliance for regular cleaning.
- Ask about support. Current warranty terms, service coverage or replacement-part guarantees are not provided by the cited sources. Obtain those terms from the seller or manufacturer for your region.
- Decide whether a 100 ml tank suits your rooms. A datasheet claims more than 90 square metres per fill, but that figure is not independently validated and actual use varies with soil, pad moisture and release technique.
Troubleshooting by symptom
The pad is not getting damp
- Confirm that the tank contains water and that the microfiber pad is attached.
- Check that you waited the full two minutes after plugging in before lowering the handle.
- If the pad has become overly dry during a session, replace it as the manual directs and refill the tank when necessary.
- Unplug the appliance and let it cool before investigating anything beyond these user steps. If liquid still does not release, use the seller’s or manufacturer’s service channel rather than dismantling a heated electrical appliance.
The floor is too wet
- Stop and move the mop instead of holding it in one place.
- Check whether the pad needs replacing; a saturated or dirty pad can spread moisture unevenly.
- Use only the water procedure described for the model and confirm that the surface is approved for damp heated cleaning.
The mop must be left unattended
Do not leave it stationary while hot/wet. Place it on the mop rest pad, unplug it and allow it to cool before storage or pad removal.

The appliance does not operate on your outlet
Stop using it and verify the outlet voltage against the 220–240 V AC specification. An adapter that changes plug shape is not a voltage converter. Obtain region-appropriate equipment or qualified advice before reconnecting.
Final assessment
The Euroflex MC1X5 is a narrowly defined product: a corded 400-watt heated mop with a 100 ml tank, a paper-wipe dusting mode and a microfiber-pad hot/wet mode. Its manual gives a usable routine—dry dust first, add the correct water, wait two minutes, dampen the pad and keep the heated head moving—and it gives unusually important restrictions for painted or wallpapered surfaces and for unattended parking.
What the documentation does not provide is equally important. There is no model-specific proof here of a steam boiler, steam output, 120°C pad temperature, instant drying, sanitization, independent coverage or long-term durability. The “over 90 square metres” coverage statement and exothermic branding belong to a datasheet claim, while temperature figures on a broader Thermal range page concern other models. Buy the MC1X5 only if its voltage, floor compatibility, corded format and ongoing pad supply fit your situation; treat every stronger performance promise as unverified until a reliable test of this exact model supports it.
