How to interpret the headline numbers
A 1.2 L boiler is a capacity figure, not a guaranteed amount of usable steam. Water consumption varies with trigger time, attachment and technique, and the manual does not provide a public runtime figure. How the SC6X1 works in practice
Boiler-based operation
Unlike a simple continuously heated mop, the SC6X1 uses a pressurized boiler. Water is heated in the 1.2 L stainless-steel vessel and delivered as steam through a trigger and selected attachment. The 4.5-bar and 130°C figures are maximum published limits, not promises that the nozzle maintains either value throughout a cleaning session.
Boiler operation affects the rhythm of a job. You fill according to the manual, wait for the machine’s operating indication, apply steam in short controlled passes, and stop before changing tools or opening the cap. Floor cleaning
Fit the floor brush and its microfiber pad, add extension tubes if needed, and work in manageable sections. The pad captures loosened soil; it must be laundered and replaced when worn. Choose the least aggressive brush that can do the job: stainless bristles can scratch unsuitable finishes. - Fill only as instructed. Use the manual’s filling procedure and do not exceed the boiler’s stated 1.2 L capacity. Never open a pressurized boiler.
- Attach tools while the trigger is off. The manual says to ensure the steam trigger is off before fitting accessories.
- Heat and test. Allow the machine to reach operating condition according to its indicators, then release a short burst into a safe area to check the attachment and surface response.
- Keep hands clear of the jet. Steam and recently used metal tools can remain hot after the trigger is released.
- Stop steam before changing tools. Turn off the trigger and follow the manual’s procedure for disconnecting an attachment.
- Depressurize before opening. Release pressure completely before attempting to remove the safety cap.

A machine that powers on is not necessarily safe. Look for softened or split hose sections, a cap that does not seat correctly, cracked plastic around the boiler and connectors that unlock under light pressure.
