The October 1, 2026 StreetInsider/MarketMediaWire paid release attributed a 12-month ETH target of $3,028 to Citigroup, raised from $2,240. It said Citi cited stronger crypto activity, a better macro backdrop and renewed ETF inflows. The original Citi research note was not located, so the target and the explanation for the increase remain claims reported by that paid coverage rather than independently confirmed details of Citi’s analysis.

How much has AlphaPepe reportedly raised, and has ALPE debuted on an exchange?
The same October 1 paid release reported that AlphaPepe had raised more than $2.86 million and had more than 12,200 holders before a first public exchange listing. These are issuer-side promotional figures repeated by the release, not independently audited totals. The release described ALPE as pre-listing; it does not establish that a listing or trading debut later took place.

An earlier AlphaPepe press release carried by GlobeNewswire on July 9, 2026, claimed partnerships with Azbit, BiFinance and Biconomy, but also said a final public launch date had not been announced. Those issuer claims do not establish that ALPE was listed or trading on any of the named venues. The two dated sources therefore leave its subsequent trading status unresolved.
What would confirm a public trading debut?
A partnership announcement or a presale holder count is not the same as a live market. To establish that ALPE began trading, look for a dated announcement from the exchange itself and verify the venue’s listing page, the trading pair and the token’s contract address. A claimed or planned listing alone does not establish liquidity, price appreciation or the ability to exit a position.

ETH itself and a trust or exchange-traded product holding Ether are different exposures. An SEC-filed annual report for an Ether trust says its objective is to provide shareholders exposure to Ether’s value, less expenses and liabilities, and describes the trust as passive rather than attempting to time purchases or sales. The SEC-filed iShares Ethereum Trust ETF annual report likewise explains that trust shares are not a direct investment in Ether and discusses market, custody, platform-pricing and volatility risks. These filings help explain the distinction between an investment vehicle and the underlying token; they do not verify Citi’s target or say whether it will be reached.
