The SEC has approved a Cboe BZX Exchange rule change covering six VS Trust share series, including a 3x Ether product. The October 2, 2026 order permits the exchange’s proposed listing and trading framework; it is not an endorsement of the securities and does not say when trading began. Separately, a TechBullion article published October 3 reported that Pepeto’s presale had raised more than $11 million, a figure that has not been independently verified in the official materials reviewed.
What the SEC approved
In an order dated October 2, 2026, the SEC approved Cboe BZX Exchange’s proposed rule change to list and trade shares in six VS Trust series. The proposal was filed on August 10 and concerns BZX Rule 14.11(e)(4), the exchange’s rule for Commodity-Based Trust Shares. The SEC newsroom also lists the order under October 2.
The covered products include a 3x Ether ETF and a 3x Bitcoin ETF. The order’s significance is regulatory and procedural: it approves the exchange rule change that provides a framework for listing and trading the VS Trust shares. It is not a finding that the products are suitable for any investor, a recommendation to buy them, or a guarantee of returns.
Approval does not establish that trading has started
The SEC order does not state when trading commenced. Its approval should not be taken as confirmation that the shares were already available to trade on October 3, 2026. A separate exchange or issuer launch notice, or a live listing, would be needed to establish that.

The “3x” label signals a leveraged product, but the order alone is not enough to establish all of its operating details. Before comparing it with another fund or considering a trade, check the issuer’s current disclosures for its daily objective, exposure method and benchmark, fees, and how returns can differ over a holding period. Do not infer a longer-term return by multiplying Ether’s return by three.
What is known about Pepeto’s $11 million presale figure
A TechBullion article dated October 3, 2026 reported that Pepeto’s presale had raised more than $11 million. That is a report by the article, not an independently verified fundraising statistic in the official materials reviewed. The SEC order concerns exchange listing rules and does not validate Pepeto or its fundraising.

How to read the two headlines separately
- For the Ether product: the confirmed event is SEC approval of Cboe BZX’s listing-rule proposal for VS Trust shares, including the 3x Ether series.
- For Pepeto: the $11 million-plus presale figure is attributed to TechBullion’s October 3 report and is not independently confirmed by the official SEC materials.
- For either investment decision: verify current trading status and consult the relevant issuer disclosures rather than treating a regulatory order or promotional claim as evidence of likely performance.
