What’s in Eterspire’s A Night Full of Frights update?
The update mixes seasonal activities with broader changes to quests, combat and exploration. Its Halloween hub is Stonehollow Fairgrounds, while Firefly Grove gets a new look. Champions and revised hunts change how players encounter enemies across Aetera, and a vendor in the Vestadian Sewers offers rewards from quests already completed.

How do you start the Trick or Treat quest?
- Go to Stonehollow Fairgrounds, the seasonal Halloween hub.
- Find Sweettooth and speak with them to begin “Trick or Treat.”
- Complete the quest before the end of October 2026 if you want its time-limited special rewards. The announcement does not specify an exact final hour or time zone.
Pocket Gamer reports that the quest is available from level eight. The fairgrounds also have costumed Adventurers’ Guild members who offer exclusive seasonal cosmetics.

“Little Red Missing Hood” is a separate quest from the Halloween event. It begins with Luna at the Desolate Ruins and requires level 137. Its premise is to recover her missing cape before the full moon.

How Champions change combat
Enemies faced during a quest or hunt now have a chance to become Champions: stronger versions with unique patterns and attacks that players can dodge. As the v83 patch notes put it, “Any enemy you face during a quest or hunt now has a chance to become a Champion, a much stronger version of that monster with unique patterns and dodgeable attacks!” The chance-based wording matters: Champions are a possible variation, not a guaranteed feature of every fight.
The developer describes Champions as groundwork for more dynamic combat and future encounters. The update also revises hunt objectives across the game, directing players toward a broader range of enemies around Aetera instead of repeatedly targeting the same few mobs.

Firefly Grove receives a complete visual redesign with a gloomier layout. Its NPCs, enemies and warps are unchanged, though Frutills now appear as ghosts.

A hidden manhole in Vestada leads to the Vestadian Sewers, where Slipperypalms sells rewards from quests you have already completed. Pocket Gamer reports that the selection includes items you previously sold or lost. This gives players a route back to eligible quest rewards without suggesting that the vendor sells items from quests they have not completed.

Other fixes in v83
The official notes also list several quality-of-life and bug fixes:
- Fixed frame-rate drops when entering areas with different music.
- Fixed refresh behavior for the Vicious Strike and Shadow Strike buffs.
- Corrected an issue with Point & Click controls and a warp available only in Infinite.
- Added controller scrolling to the Transmogrification Table recipe list.
What is seasonal, and what has no stated expiry?
Trick or Treat and its special rewards are explicitly limited to the end of October 2026. The notes describe Champions, revised hunts, the Firefly Grove redesign and Slipperypalms as update features without giving them an October expiry. That is not a guarantee of permanent availability; it is simply the availability information the announcement provides.

Eterspire’s official website describes the game as cross-platform and links to iOS, macOS, tvOS, Android and Windows versions. The v83 announcement does not identify platform-specific differences for these features.
