Eternal Blade is not yet listed as released on Steam, so it is a game to watch rather than a confirmed current pick. Its advertised focus is timing-based combat and an explorable open world. For an established alternative, compare it with games such as Code Vein or Scarlet Nexus—but choose by combat and world structure, not anime style alone.
What is Eternal Blade?
Eternal Blade is a forthcoming single-player open-world action RPG from Shibui Labs LLC, set in the Baransu Realm. The official site presents it as part of the Shibui Universe, a fantasy property being developed alongside a manga and an anime screenplay. That shared-world background may appeal if you want original lore connected across formats, but it does not establish that the game’s story is better than another title’s.

Shibui Labs describes its combat as a sequence of striking, defending, reading enemies, and building power through a well-timed parry. That is the developer’s product pitch, not an independent assessment of how the combat feels in play. Official Eternal Blade site · Steam listing

| Game | What the cited sources establish | Useful comparison point |
|---|---|---|
| Eternal Blade | Forthcoming single-player open-world action RPG; developer emphasizes parrying, enemy reading, and a power meter. Steam lists it as “Coming soon.” | Consider it if timing-focused defense, exploration, and the Shibui Universe appeal to you, and you are willing to wait or verify demo access. |
| Code Vein | Bandai Namco’s catalogue describes it in the context of dark anime action-RPG design. | Look into it if you want an established option associated with demanding action-RPG play. The cited source does not establish a direct mechanical match to Eternal Blade. |
| Scarlet Nexus | Steam categorizes it as an anime action RPG and a single-player game. | Consider it as an established single-player alternative, but check its own mechanics and structure rather than assuming it plays like Eternal Blade. |
| Tales of Arise | Listed in Bandai Namco’s official JRPG catalogue. | A further established title to investigate; the cited source does not provide a direct gameplay comparison with Eternal Blade. |

What is planned for Eternal Blade’s demo?
The Steam listing describes a demo with four regions and an estimated 1–2 hours of main-quest content plus side activities. That duration and scope are developer-provided plans, not an independently measured playtime. The listed activities include stealth, crafting, cooking, fishing, hunting, and mining, suggesting a broader exploration loop than combat alone.

Choose an established alternative if you want to play now
Start with Code Vein or Scarlet Nexus if you want an available anime-styled action RPG rather than a forthcoming game. Their cited descriptions establish genre context, not that either one has the same parry system, open-world structure, or difficulty as Eternal Blade.
