When does the Eternal Blade demo come out?
Steam’s current listing says “Demo — Free October 2nd, 2026” and gives October 2 as the demo launch date. Shibui Labs’ official website also says the demo drops October 2, 2026, and says it will be playable during Steam Next Fest, scheduled there for October 19–26. By contrast, an EIN Presswire release dated October 5, 2026 says the demo will launch October 5. No dated correction or other evidence in these sources resolves the conflict. Check the Steam listing or Shibui Labs website for the current announcement.

What is included in the free demo?
Steam describes an open-world action RPG set in the Baransu Realm. Players follow Emerald as she seeks the Almighty Gemstones, wields the Eternal Blade, and tries to free her father from a curse. The store page lists four explorable areas and a mix of combat and side activities:
- Regions: Forbidden Forest, Kubu Forest, Fukushū Bay, and an extended open world.
- Combat and quests: A main quest, side activities, timing-based combat, and an Almighty Power Meter.
- Other activities: Stealth, crafting, cooking, fishing, hunting, and mining.
Steam estimates 1–2 hours of gameplay. The October 5 press release instead describes roughly one hour of main-quest content, more than two hours of additional content through side activities, and four bosses. These are different estimates with different stated scopes; neither is an independently measured playtime figure.

Is Eternal Blade based on a manga?
Yes. Shibui Labs presents the game as part of the manga’s fictional world. The manga follows Emerald’s effort to save her cursed father from the Soulless Citadel, while the game’s Steam description centers on her quest to gather the Almighty Gemstones and wield the Eternal Blade. The October 5 press release identifies James Fazio as the world creator, manga writer, and game developer, and Izaac Rodrigues as the manga artist who built the game in Unreal Engine 5; those roles are attributed to the release.
Where can you read the Eternal Blade manga?
The official manga page lists four chapters to read online: “The Oracle,” “Hearing,” “The Last Descendant,” and “She Returns.” Shibui Labs also announces a first print volume collecting chapters 1–5, but the official material reviewed provides neither a retail date nor a purchase link, so the collection is not confirmed available for purchase.

Game or manga: which should you try first?
Choose the demo if you want to explore the setting through action-RPG gameplay and the activities listed on Steam. Choose the online chapters if you want to follow the manga story. The sources establish the shared world and Emerald’s central quest, but do not say that reading the manga is required to understand the demo.
