Keep a flexible party with at least one answer to the displayed weakness, one defensive or turn-order option, and Wade’s Psychometry-derived classes configured for the current matchup.

What Future Sight does in combat
Future Sight is an active forecast rather than a passive initiative display. It shows when an enemy is expected to act and the likely result of that action. As you select commands, the projected sequence updates, allowing you to test how attacks, defence, delays, and cancellations alter the next turns. The official Steam description summarizes the purpose as using Future Sight to “foresee enemy actions and strategically rewrite the future.”
What’s actually slowing this PC down?
Pick the symptom - the matching free tool is one click away.
That makes turn order a resource. A weakness attack is valuable not only because it may deal more damage, but also because it can move an enemy later in the sequence or build Break pressure. A defensive command can be the best choice when it keeps a threatened character alive or preserves that character’s next planned action. Delay or cancellation can be stronger than a larger hit when removing one enemy action prevents a chain of damage or a failed setup.

The forecast you should read
- Actor: identify which enemy is scheduled to move first.
- Target: note the character who will receive the projected attack or effect.
- Outcome: read the expected damage or other result, not just the icon for the action.
- Order: check whether your selected commands move an enemy behind your party, remove its action, or create a safer gap for recovery.
Future Sight is therefore a planning loop: inspect, select, inspect again, and commit only when the resulting timeline is acceptable.
A repeatable turn-planning routine
Use the following sequence at the start of every meaningful turn. It works whether the forecast shows an immediate attack, a delayed threat, or a turn in which no enemy action is currently dangerous.
- Read the complete visible timeline. Do not stop at the first enemy icon. Look far enough ahead to see which action threatens a party member and what follows it.
- Mark the first unacceptable result. Decide whether the projected hit is survivable, merely inconvenient, or likely to defeat the targeted character or ruin your next plan. “Unacceptable” is personal to the current fight: a survivable hit can still be unacceptable if it prevents a required follow-up.
- Check the matchup before choosing damage. Identify the enemy weakness shown by the battle information and select a character or inherited ability that can exploit it. If no safe weakness action is available, do not force one; use defence, delay, cancellation, or a different damage type.
- Test the order-changing option. Select the weakness attack, delay, or cancellation that appears most likely to improve the sequence. If the enemy remains first and its projected result is still dangerous, test a defensive command or a different actor order.
- Re-read Future Sight after important selections. The forecast can change as commands are added. Confirm that the targeted character, enemy position, and expected outcome still match your plan.
- Commit only to a safe final projection. The correct action may show less immediate damage than an alternative. Prefer the command that leaves the whole projected sequence manageable.
This routine prevents a common beginner error: choosing a powerful attack because its first number is high, then discovering that the enemy still acts before the party can recover.

No authoritative universal party composition has been published, and the exact party-size rule is not confirmed. Build for coverage instead of a permanent “best team.” Your opening setup should answer three questions: can someone exploit the current weakness, can someone survive or prevent the next dangerous action, and can Wade change his inherited toolkit when the matchup changes?
| Party function | What to keep available | Why it matters in Future Sight |
|---|---|---|
| Weakness pressure | At least one reliable damage type that matches the enemy’s displayed weakness | Weakness hits can improve damage, create Break pressure, and sometimes push the enemy later in the order. |
| Protection | A dependable defensive choice for the character currently targeted | Defence can make a projected hit survivable and preserve the target’s ability to act on the following turn. |
| Turn control | A delay or cancellation option when the forecast exposes an unacceptable enemy action | Removing or moving one action can be worth more than adding another ordinary attack. |
| Flexible inheritance | Wade’s Psychometry-derived classes and abilities selected for the current matchup | Inherited tools let the party change its answers instead of repeating a damage type after the enemy adapts. |
Use roles, not permanent labels
Think of those functions as jobs that must be covered in the current encounter, not as four permanently fixed characters. A character who normally attacks may be the correct defender when Future Sight targets them. Wade may supply the weakness answer in one fight and the delay tool in another, depending on the classes and abilities inherited through Psychometry.
Keep at least one damage option in reserve. If an enemy gains weakness defence after being hit, repeatedly selecting the same weakness move can lose its value. Rotate to another damage type, switch Wade’s inherited class, defend while the forecast is manageable, or delay the enemy until a better opening appears. The exact rotation for any encounter is not confirmed before release, so treat this as a decision rule rather than a prescribed build.

Wade’s Psychometry and inherited classes
Psychometry allows Wade to read memories in objects and inherit classes and abilities from those memories. The system is intended to support a personal style rather than one universally correct build. In practical terms, treat each inheritance as a tool for a problem revealed by Future Sight.

- Need a weakness answer? Equip an inherited class or ability that supplies the damage type the enemy currently exposes.
- Need to protect a target? Prefer an inheritance that improves defence or gives the party another way to avoid the projected action.
- Need to win the order? Select an inheritance that supports delay, cancellation, or follow-up actions after a weakness hit.
- Facing weakness defence? Stop treating the first successful weakness as a permanent solution. Reassess the next forecast and change damage type or class when the enemy’s defence reduces its value.
Because the final game’s class list, resource costs, and command names are not fully disclosed, avoid planning a build around unconfirmed percentages or a supposed best inheritance. The reliable principle is to combine inherited options around the matchup in front of you.
Weaknesses, Break pressure, and weakness defence
Weakness attacks have two jobs: exploit the enemy’s vulnerability and improve your tempo. A successful hit can create Break pressure and move the enemy later, giving the party time for another attack, a recovery action, or a safer setup. The value is greatest when the hit also changes the forecast from “enemy acts next” to “party acts first.”
When to use the weakness immediately
Use the weakness attack when its projected result is safe and it improves the order or Break pressure. For example, if the enemy is about to strike a fragile character and a weakness hit moves that enemy behind two party members, the attack both damages the target and buys time. Re-check the forecast after selecting it; do not assume the order changed until Future Sight shows the new sequence.
When defence is the better weakness play
Defend when the projected hit is survivable but taking it would leave the target unable to execute the next plan, or when using the weakness move would still leave an unacceptable action in the final timeline. Defence is also a sensible bridge while waiting for a different damage type, a better actor order, or a class change through Wade’s inherited abilities.

When weakness defence appears
An enemy may gain weakness defence after being hit. Once that happens, assume the previous weakness has become less valuable and inspect the forecast again. Rotate damage types, use a different inherited class, delay the enemy, cancel its action if possible, or defend through a manageable turn. Do not claim a fixed number of weakness hits or a guaranteed Break sequence: published pre-release information does not establish universal thresholds, boss rotations, or damage values.

Delay and cancellation: rewriting a dangerous turn
Future Sight makes delay and cancellation practical because you can see what they change. A delay command is useful when moving an enemy one position is enough to put your party first. Cancellation is useful when the projected enemy action itself is the problem and removing it creates a safe window.
A simple decision test
- If the projected action is safe and your weakness hit moves the enemy later, attack the weakness.
- If the action is dangerous but can be removed, prioritize cancellation even when it deals little or no damage.
- If the action is dangerous and cannot be cancelled, test delay, then defence on the threatened target.
- If none of those options makes the final sequence safe, change the order of your own commands or switch Wade’s inherited class before committing.
The exact names, costs, and restrictions for these commands have not been fully published. Use the forecasted result shown by the game rather than assuming every delay or cancellation works on every enemy.
An illustrative turn, without relying on hidden numbers
Consider a generic encounter in which Future Sight places an enemy attack next, aimed at the party member who is carrying out your planned setup. The party has a weakness attack, a defensive command, and a delay option.
- The weakness attack is selected first. Future Sight shows that the enemy moves later, but the targeted character still receives the original attack before the party can act again. That is not yet a safe final timeline.
- Changing the actor order or adding delay pushes the enemy behind another party member. The forecast now shows the targeted character acting before the enemy. This is a stronger line even if the immediate damage is lower.
- If the enemy instead gains weakness defence and remains first, remove the weakness attack from the plan. Select defence on the threatened character and use the next available turn to change damage type or inherited class.
- If cancellation removes the enemy attack entirely, compare that result with delay. Cancellation is preferable when delay still leaves an unacceptable hit; delay may be preferable when cancellation has a cost that prevents the party from exploiting the next opening.
This example illustrates the planning method only. It does not establish a particular enemy’s threshold, damage value, or guaranteed command interaction.

Choosing the biggest first number
Symptom: an attack displays high damage, but the enemy still acts first and defeats or disables the intended target.
Fix: compare the complete projected sequence. Use a smaller weakness hit, delay, cancellation, or defence if it removes the unacceptable action.

Symptom: the first enemy action looks harmless, but a second action lands before the party can recover.
Fix: read the full visible timeline and identify the first unacceptable result several positions ahead.

Building Wade once and never changing him
Symptom: an inherited class works in one matchup but lacks an answer after the enemy’s weakness defence activates.
Fix: treat Psychometry as a way to adapt. Combine inherited classes and abilities around the current forecast rather than a permanent universal build.

A quick pre-battle checklist
- Have you read beyond the next icon in Future Sight?
- Which enemy action is the first unacceptable result, and who is its target?
- Can a weakness hit also improve the turn order or Break pressure?
- Is the projected hit safe enough that defence preserves a better next turn?
- Would delay or cancellation remove more danger than another attack?
- Has weakness defence reduced the value of your current damage type?
- Does Wade’s inherited class solve the current matchup, or should you change it?
- After selecting commands, does the final forecast still show a manageable sequence?
The Bottom Line
Win Eternal Anima’s early fights by treating Future Sight as a decision tool: exploit weaknesses when they improve the timeline, defend when survival preserves your plan, and change damage types or Wade’s inherited classes as soon as weakness defence makes repetition unsafe.
