No—not ESPN’s main channel in Samsung TV Plus’s U.S. lineup. Samsung does list ESPN8: The Ocho, a separately named channel; its presence does not mean the main ESPN networks are included. Samsung offers the ESPN app separately, and access to particular events may depend on the event’s requirements.
Is ESPN on Samsung TV Plus?
Samsung’s U.S. TV Plus lineup names ESPN8: The Ocho in its sports category, but does not list the main channel under the ESPN name. ESPN8 is not a substitute for ESPN’s main networks, so finding it in the guide does not establish that you can watch those networks or their events through TV Plus. The lineup includes other sports channels, such as NFL Channel, MLB Channel, The NBA Channel, CBS Sports HQ, and FOX Sports. Their availability does not change the distinction between ESPN8 and ESPN’s main networks.

How is the ESPN app different?
Samsung lists the ESPN app separately from TV Plus. Samsung’s U.S. app listing describes live events and shows from ESPN networks, as well as ESPN+ subscriber content. That listing does not mean every event is free in the app: requirements can vary by event and may involve a subscription or provider login. Check the event’s current access terms in the app. View Samsung’s U.S. ESPN app listing.

How to check what is available on your Samsung device
- Open the TV Plus guide. Look for ESPN8: The Ocho by its full channel name. Samsung says the guide shows the current programs and upcoming schedule.
- Check the app store on your device. Search for ESPN and confirm that the app is listed for your model and region. The Samsung listing cited here is for the United States.
- Check the event’s access terms. If you find the ESPN app, review the specific event’s requirements rather than assuming it is included free.
Samsung describes TV Plus on supported Samsung Smart TVs, projectors, and monitors as a free, ad-supported video service. For instructions on finding the guide and schedule, see Samsung’s TV Plus support page.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Does the U.S. answer apply everywhere?
No. The channel lineup and app availability can depend on country and device, and catalogs can change. Samsung’s U.S. pages establish what it lists in the U.S.; they do not establish ESPN or ESPN8 availability in every other country. Check the local TV Plus guide and the app store on the Samsung device you plan to use.
