It may suit travelers who want to buy and manage mobile data in an app, but the best choice depends on the exact destination and plan: coverage and included services vary, and plans described as “unlimited” have daily high-speed data limits. This review reflects information available on 9 October 2026; prices, plan availability and terms can change.
What is eROAMING?
eROAMING sells digital travel eSIM plans through its app. The provider describes the service as powered by TDNT, while the Apple App Store and Google Play identify EROAMING LTD as the app developer. The service advertises prepaid coverage in more than 200 destinations, a provider claim rather than an independently verified measure of coverage. TechRadar’s review and the Apple App Store listing describe local, regional and global options.

The app supports destination search, plan comparison, device compatibility checks, QR-code or supported one-tap installation, usage tracking and top-ups on eligible plans. Availability, network coverage, validity and included services vary by destination, as the App Store description states. Check the plan for every country on your itinerary rather than assuming a regional or global label guarantees service everywhere you travel.
What did the reviewed plans cost?
TechRadar’s review, published 8 October 2026, compared sample local plans with 5GB of data and 30 days of validity. These are dated examples from its review, not guaranteed live prices. Check the app for current availability, currency and terms before buying.

In the same review, TechRadar reported regional options for Europe, Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Latin America and the Middle East. The global tiers it examined covered 106 to 161 countries. Those are descriptions of the reviewed catalog, not a promise that a particular plan covers every country in a region. Confirm each destination in the live plan details. TechRadar review, 8 October 2026.
Does “unlimited” mean unlimited high-speed data?
No. TechRadar reported that eROAMING’s reviewed “unlimited” plans applied a daily high-speed allowance of 1GB, 2GB, 3GB or 5GB, depending on the plan. After reaching the threshold, speed fell to 128Kbps until the next day. As reviewer Pawan Singh put it, “Its unlimited plans also have daily high-speed allowances, after which speeds drop to 128Kbps.” TechRadar, 8 October 2026.

That reduced speed may be enough for basic messaging, but can make data-heavy tasks difficult. Compare the daily high-speed allowance—not just the word “unlimited”—with how you expect to use your phone. The exact threshold and plan terms should be confirmed in the current listing.
Are calls and texts included?
TechRadar found mobile-number, call and text service temporarily unavailable in the live selector it checked on 8 October 2026. The app listing says selected destinations may offer minutes and texts, so availability is not established for every destination or plan. If you need a local number or conventional calls and SMS, check the current selector before purchase rather than relying on the general service description. TechRadar review; App Store listing.

What should you check before buying?
- Device compatibility: The phone must support eSIM. Use the app’s compatibility checker for your exact device before paying. App Store listing.
- Country coverage: Verify every country you will visit, including any stopovers. Plan availability and network coverage vary by destination.
- Data and validity: Compare the total allowance, any daily high-speed cap, and the plan’s validity period against your trip dates.
- Hotspot: Tethering depends on the plan enabling it and on device support; it is not safe to assume every plan permits it. TechRadar review.
- Purchase and top-up rules: TechRadar reported possible restrictions on purchasing or topping up after arrival in China, Hong Kong, India, Singapore and Taiwan. This is not a claim that eROAMING has no coverage in those places. Check current rules for your specific destination and, where restrictions may apply, arrange installation before travel. TechRadar review.
- Refund terms: Review the current refund policy before installing or using the plan; the reported conditions are covered below.
What happens if you delete the eSIM?
TechRadar reports that eROAMING generally warns users not to delete an installed eSIM profile, because it may not be possible to reinstall it. If you no longer need the profile temporarily, disabling it is safer than deleting it. Disabling the profile does not pause the plan’s validity, according to the review. TechRadar review.
How responsive are support, and can you get a refund?
TechRadar reports that support is available by email or contact form during GMT business hours, seven days a week except public holidays, with typical replies in 24–72 hours. It also reports that a refund may be possible within 30 days for technical activation failures after troubleshooting. Installed eSIMs, unused data, expired plans and consumed plans are generally non-refundable under the terms described in that review. These conditions can change, so read the current provider terms and contact support about an activation problem. TechRadar review.

What do app-store ratings tell you?
At the time the listings were checked, the Apple App Store showed 4.9/5 from 86 ratings, while Google Play showed 4.0/5 from 77 reviews. These are platform snapshots, not measurements of connection quality in a particular country. Individual reviews also describe personal experiences rather than representative tests; for example, an App Store user praised the app’s ease of use, but that does not establish how the service will perform on another itinerary.

It is worth considering if your phone supports eSIM and the app offers a plan with suitable coverage, price, validity and data for your trip. It is a less certain choice if you need a phone number, dependable conventional calls or texts, guaranteed hotspot access, or consistently high-speed data beyond the plan’s daily threshold. In those cases, confirm the exact service in the live plan details before relying on it.

For a fair price comparison with another provider, use the same destination, data allowance and validity period. The 5GB/30-day destination prices above provide a dated example of that method, not a current benchmark. Check the full trip cost and plan conditions in both providers’ live listings.
