That makes it a compelling option for households and home offices that print and scan regularly, but it is not a record-low price: TechRadar said it matched a June price. Check the live listing before buying, since price and stock can change.
Is the $369.99 ET-4950 a good Prime Day buy?
For someone who prints often enough to value refillable ink tanks, an automatic document feeder (ADF), and two-sided printing, the ET-4950 offers a substantial feature set at the reported sale price. TechRadar’s deal article called it its top printer pick and reported a 4.5-star review score. Its senior printer editor Jim said, “I can’t find another mid-price printer so loaded with features and ink.” That is the publication’s review judgment, not a head-to-head test result against every printer in this price range.

The reported $369.99 Amazon offer was $130 below the stated $499.99 price. Epson’s US listing showed the same $369.99 price on October 7, 2026, while the $499.99 figure was also the launch MSRP Epson announced in 2025. Neither listing guarantees the price or availability at checkout. What the printer includes
The ET-4950 is a wireless color all-in-one that prints, copies, scans, and faxes. Epson lists automatic duplex printing, a 250-sheet paper tray, an ADF, and a 2.4-inch color display. The ADF is useful for scanning or copying multipage documents without placing each sheet on the glass; automatic duplex printing can handle two-sided output without manually turning pages.

Speed figures: ISO versus maximum
Epson’s detailed feature section lists ISO print speeds of 18 pages per minute (black) and 9 pages per minute (color). TechRadar’s deal article separately reports maximum speeds of up to 35 ppm black and 23 ppm color. These figures use different stated bases, so the maximum figures should not be treated as equivalent to the ISO speeds or as a promise of the rate you will get for every job.
How the refillable ink system affects ownership
Rather than disposable cartridges, the ET-4950 uses refillable tanks and Epson EcoFit ink bottles. Epson says the ink supplied with the printer can last up to three years and estimates yields of up to 6,600 black pages and 5,500 color pages. These are manufacturer estimates, not guaranteed household results. Epson says its yield figures use the ISO/IEC 24712 pattern and its own methodology; actual yield varies with what and how often you print.

Epson also advertises savings of up to 90% with replacement bottles versus cartridges. That is a manufacturer comparison claim, not an independently established saving for every buyer. Your actual running cost depends on print volume, the mix of color and black pages, and the price of compatible replacement bottles. Epson’s product page and ink information describe the system and the manufacturer’s yield and savings claims.
Before buying ink, confirm the bottle is specified for your exact printer and region. The ET-4950 Series user guide lists ink and maintenance-box part numbers and states that Epson warranties do not cover damage caused by third-party ink or ink not designed for the printer. Check the applicable warranty terms where you live.

Who should buy it—and who may not need it
It makes sense if you print regularly
- You print and scan documents often enough for refillable tanks to be useful.
- You want an ADF for multipage documents and automatic two-sided printing.
- You need an all-in-one with fax as well as print, copy, and scan functions.
Consider your requirements before choosing it
- If you print only a few pages a month, a feature-rich tank printer may be more than you need.
- TechRadar’s deal article flags the lack of USB host, NFC, and Bluetooth. Check that the wireless and wired connections it does offer suit your devices and workflow.
- The same article notes limitations involving heavy-paper scanning and printing from the multipurpose tray. If those media-handling tasks are central to your work, verify the details against your specific use before purchasing.
What to check before checkout
- Open the reported Amazon offer and confirm the seller, current price, stock, and delivery terms; the $369.99 figure was reported on October 6, 2026, not guaranteed for later checkout.
- Compare the live price with Epson’s US listing and confirm the regional model and included supplies match your needs.
- Decide whether your print volume and need for an ADF and duplex printing justify the upfront cost of a tank-based all-in-one.
- Check Epson’s ink and user-guide information for the correct bottle and maintenance-box part numbers and review warranty conditions before using non-Epson ink.
How it compares with other printer deals
TechRadar’s broader deal coverage also named offers for the HP OfficeJet Pro 8139e and Canon MegaTank G3270. The available product information here does not provide a like-for-like test, current prices for those alternatives, or enough comparable detail to say one is universally better. Compare the specific listings on upfront price, refill costs, ADF and duplex needs, the relevant speed figures, connectivity, and media handling rather than choosing on brand or headline price alone.
