Epoch Operation: Taubound goes live in Warframe on October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time (ET), which is 15:00 UTC. Digital Extremes’ launch notice uses the wording “Begins at 11:00 AM ET,” while the event window runs through November 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET.
That is a single, all-platform operation window rather than a recurring activity. If you want to participate, plan to enter before the November 17 cutoff: the official event page says Taubound will not be rerun.

Exact Taubound start and end times
| Milestone | Eastern Time (ET) | UTC |
|---|---|---|
| Launch | October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. | October 15, 2026, at 15:00 UTC |
| End | November 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. | November 17, 2026, at 15:00 UTC |
October 15 falls during Eastern Daylight Time, which is UTC−4. The 15:00 UTC figure is therefore the direct conversion of the published 11:00 a.m. ET launch time; Digital Extremes’ notices identify ET as the official reference zone.
The event lasts about 33 days, ending at the same clock time at which it starts. Digital Extremes’ forum announcement states the window as “OCTOBER 15TH @ 11 A.M. – NOVEMBER 17TH @ 11 A.M.” The official event page was posted at 11:00:00 on October 15, 2026, and describes the operation as live until November 17.

What opens at launch
A one-time operation for every platform
Taubound is a community operation available on all supported Warframe platforms. It opens a route toward the Tau System through the Sentient Mothership Praghasa. During the window, players run Eris missions, collect Moonflesh and exchange it for operation rewards. Daily narrative updates add new story information as the operation progresses.
Access after Vor’s Prize
At launch, any Tenno who has completed Vor’s Prize can access Eris and Praghasa for the operation. Taubound temporarily lifts the usual Star Chart and Junction requirements, so you do not need to unlock Eris through the normal progression route first. You still need an active game connection and a platform account able to enter Warframe.
Rank #2
- Complete Vor’s Prize.
- Log in after October 15 at 11:00 a.m. ET (15:00 UTC).
- Use the event access in the Star Chart to reach Eris and the Praghasa.
- Play the available missions, gather Moonflesh and redeem it for rewards before November 17 at 11:00 a.m. ET.
Rewards and progression
Moonflesh functions as the operation’s event currency. The reward catalogue listed by Digital Extremes includes the Contegorus Armor Set, Vacis Amp Skin, Dhampyre Syandana, glyphs, emblems, weapon-related cosmetics, arcanes and other in-game items. Check the in-game operation interface for the current costs and availability of each item, because the catalogue—not a separate store promotion—controls what can be claimed during the event.
Because the operation is time-limited and has no announced rerun, spend or reserve Moonflesh with the November 17 deadline in mind. Items not redeemed before the operation closes should not be assumed to remain obtainable afterward.

Do not confuse Taubound with the Tau Prologue
The Tau Prologue is a separate, permanent quest that also becomes available in the Codex on October 15. It is not the timed operation and does not share Taubound’s relaxed access rules. Starting the prologue requires completion of The Hex and The Old Peace. By contrast, the operation’s event access is available after Vor’s Prize, with normal Star Chart and Junction gates lifted.
| Feature | Epoch Operation: Taubound | Tau Prologue |
|---|---|---|
| Availability | October 15–November 17, 2026 | Permanent after its October 15 release |
| Prerequisite | Vor’s Prize | The Hex and The Old Peace |
| Access rules | Star Chart and Junction requirements lifted for the event | Normal quest prerequisites apply |
| Purpose | Community operation, Moonflesh and limited-time rewards | Standalone Codex quest |
Time-zone planning for players
Converting 11:00 a.m. ET
For players outside Eastern Time, use 15:00 UTC as the anchor. For example, 15:00 UTC is 5:00 p.m. in Central European Summer Time and 8:00 a.m. Pacific Daylight Time on October 15. Local daylight-saving rules can change the displayed local hour, so verify your device’s conversion for your city rather than treating “11 a.m. ET” as a universal local time.

What to do if the operation is not visible
- Confirm that your clock has passed October 15, 2026, 15:00 UTC.
- Restart Warframe so the event data and hotfixes can load.
- Check that Vor’s Prize is complete on the account you are using.
- Look for the operation entry in the Star Chart and the Praghasa access point.
- If you are attempting access after November 17, 2026, at 15:00 UTC, the scheduled window has ended; the official notice does not promise a rerun.
Bottom line on the launch time
Set your calendar for October 15, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET (15:00 UTC). Taubound is an all-platform, one-time operation open until November 17, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. ET. Completing Vor’s Prize is enough to enter the event, while the separate Tau Prologue follows its own permanent-quest requirements.
