Endeavor Catalyst announced an oversubscribed $320 million Fund V on October 6, 2026, and says the close lifts its assets under management above $850 million. The organization calls Europe its fastest-growing market, citing a larger portfolio and rising investment activity. That description is Endeavor Catalyst’s characterization; its announcements do not specify a comparison method that would independently establish the ranking.
What Fund V is—and what its size means
Endeavor Catalyst describes itself as a rules-based co-investment fund that backs companies led by Endeavor Entrepreneurs. Its October 6 announcement puts Fund V at $320 million and says that, after the close, the fund’s total assets under management exceed $850 million. The $320 million is the size of this fund; it is not the fund’s total AUM.

Endeavor says Catalyst invests 10% of a financing round and expects Fund V to attract at least $3.2 billion in fresh capital to companies it backs. That is the organization’s estimate of the fund’s potential capital effect, not a reported investment outcome. Endeavor’s Fund V announcement describes the close and projection.
Why Endeavor says Europe is growing quickly
Endeavor’s September 2, 2026 release reported 84 European portfolio companies across 10 markets as of Q2 2026. The companies represented 20% of Endeavor Catalyst’s global company portfolio, while Catalyst’s direct investment in the European companies totaled $104.3 million. These are figures reported by Endeavor Global, Inc., not independently audited measurements. The September release provides the dated regional snapshot.
#1 Best Overall
The same release said European portfolio companies raised more than $8.3 billion during 2025 and the first half of 2026. Endeavor divided that total into more than $3.2 billion in rounds with direct Catalyst participation and more than $5.1 billion in additional rounds without Catalyst participation. The $8.3 billion figure therefore describes capital raised by the companies, not money invested by Catalyst.
A later October 7 announcement carried by Business Wire and Yahoo Finance described more than 90 investments across 10 European markets and 20 portfolio companies valued at $1 billion or more. It is a later snapshot and counts investments, not the September release’s number of companies. The two figures should not be treated as interchangeable: a company can receive more than one investment, and the announcements use different dates and measures. The October 7 announcement is the source for that later count and the “fastest-growing market” wording.

What the numbers do—and do not—show
The announcements indicate that Catalyst has built a substantial European presence and that its portfolio companies have raised significant additional funding. They do not show that Catalyst supplied all, or even most, of the reported $8.3 billion: the release explicitly separates rounds it joined from other rounds. Nor do the published figures explain the methodology behind “fastest-growing,” such as the period or growth measure used, or provide a comparable ranking across all other Catalyst markets.

The broader Catalyst page lists more than 435 investments across 40 or more markets, 83 companies valued at $1 billion or more, and 39 realized exits. These are organization-reported statistics, and their distinct labels and page contexts matter: investments are not companies, and a company valuation threshold is not an exit count. Why the fund’s model matters
Endeavor Catalyst’s strategy ties its investments to Endeavor Entrepreneurs, rather than presenting Fund V as a general-purpose fund available to any company. In its October 6 account, Managing Partner Allen Taylor recalled Reid Hoffman’s advice: “To be successful in venture capital, you only have to do two things. First, you have to be contrarian… and then you have to be right.” The quote is Hoffman’s, as recounted by Taylor. In its September release, Taylor described Europe as “home to an abundance of dynamic markets where entrepreneurial talent is rich, but global support is not.”
Together, these statements frame the fund’s rationale: co-invest alongside companies in Endeavor’s entrepreneur network, with the aim of helping them attract more capital. Whether Europe is literally Catalyst’s fastest-growing market depends on a definition the announcements do not publish; the underlying dated figures support growth, but the superlative remains Endeavor Catalyst’s claim.
