There are 10 Suit Mods reported in End of Abyss: eight are inside vaults, while Vitality Enhancer Mk. I starts equipped and Radiation Protection is outside a vault in Factory East B2. Each vault requires a Vault Key, and several also have an additional tool, access card, or story-progress requirement. The locations and gates below are reported by secondary guides; the game does not display vault numbers, and the guides do not match individual keys to particular doors.

Use the sector, floor, and landmark to identify each vault; the numbers here are for this list, not in-game labels. The access details are reported by the End of Abyss Wiki vault guide, updated October 3, 2026.

What keys and tools do you need?
Every vault requires a Vault Key. Guides report eight keys total: five obtained from story-related bosses and three from optional bosses. They do not reliably pair a particular key with a particular vault door, so collect the keys as you progress and use them at the vaults you encounter rather than relying on an unverified key-to-door chart.
The Vault Key is only the general vault requirement. The route may also depend on other progression:
- Traversal and environmental tools: Factory West requires an Explosive Charge; Waterworks requires a Grappling Hook and access to its pump and Energy Node door; Containment Sector requires the Incinerator.
- Objective or story progress: Communication Center’s vault is gated by the 3-SCU objective, while the Reactor vault requires reaching its lower floors.
- Cards and keys: The Infirmary vault requires its named key and a Restricted Access Keycard. Lower Levels requires Level 3 Access, with Level 2 described as part of that progression chain.
The Containment Sector and Lower Levels are especially easy to mistake for early cleanup targets: the guide says the Incinerator is obtained in the final story area, and the Lower Levels route depends on the higher access-card tier.
Two Suit Mods are not in vaults
Vitality Enhancer Mk. I
The all-mod guide reports that this mod is already equipped when the player starts. It is one of the 10 reported Suit Mods, but it is not a vault reward.

Radiation Protection
Look in Factory East B2, not in a vault. The vault guide says the route is accessed with the Basement Keycard. GamesRadar’s review describes the mod as protection against radiation damage and reports that activating it costs four energy points; that figure is review-reported, not an official specification.
Can you return to vaults after the story?
Both guides report that vaults and Suit Mods are not missable and that the vaults remain accessible after the main story. Opening all eight vaults is associated with the Dungeon Crawler trophy. If you are completing the collection late, revisit any earlier sector once you have the required key and its specific tool, objective, or access card.
