Empikalyze says it ranks resumes against a job description using semantic matching followed by AI evaluation, then gives recruiters a score and candidate-level explanations. That describes a screening aid—not proof that a candidate will perform well, and not an independently validated measure of accuracy or fairness. The company says recruiters make hiring decisions and the system does not automatically reject applicants.
What is Empikalyze?
Empikalyze presents itself as a business-to-business AI resume-screening service for recruitment agencies and staffing teams. Its homepage describes a workflow in which a recruiter provides a job description and uploads resumes in batches, then receives ranked candidates and an analysis for each person. Empikalyze’s homepage advertises semantic matching beyond keywords, a price displayed as ₹5 per resume, and 50 free resume analyses. These are vendor claims and offers; confirm current terms directly with the company before relying on them.

The available DEV Community listing identifies the project as a Show DEV post and includes the excerpt, “Your resume scored 70 out of 100. Nobody can tell you if that is good.” The full post was not available in the listing, so its title and excerpt do not establish how the product performs or what a score predicts.

Empikalyze describes its 0–100 score as an alignment rating against the job description. It is best understood as a tool for comparing the submitted resumes against the criteria entered for a particular role. It is not a probability of job success, an interview, or an eventual offer. A score’s usefulness depends on whether the job criteria are relevant and whether the resume contains enough evidence to assess them.
#1 Best Overall
The vendor’s how-it-works documentation describes advisory recommendation tiers and candidate details that may include matched and missing skills, experience and education fit, strengths, gaps, and a summary. Such explanations can help a recruiter inspect why a resume ranked as it did; they do not, by themselves, show that the score is accurate or that important qualifications were interpreted correctly.
How does Empikalyze match resumes beyond keywords?
According to Empikalyze’s workflow guide, a recruiter creates a screening job from a job description and may add context such as must-have skills or location preferences. The guide says a job can contain up to 100 resumes.
Rank #2
Its candidate-ranking guide describes two stages:
- Vector matching: The system first orders resumes by semantic similarity to the job description.
- AI evaluation: It then evaluates candidates against the description and produces the final score and candidate insights.
This explains the method the vendor says it uses. It does not independently demonstrate that the system understands experience better than keyword screening, or that it ranks candidates more accurately or fairly. No independently published performance statistic, evaluation dataset, accuracy benchmark, bias audit, or customer outcome figure is established in the available sources.
Does AI resume screening make hiring decisions?
Empikalyze says no. Its product documentation states: “It never makes hiring decisions — recruiters decide who moves forward.” The vendor also says the system does not automatically reject candidates. This is the company’s description of the intended workflow; available information does not establish how customers use rankings in practice or whether reviewers meaningfully challenge or override them.

- FTP Automation and Synchronization
For a recruiter, a practical safeguard is to treat the ranking as a prompt for review rather than a hiring verdict: check the role criteria, inspect the evidence behind a score, and assess applicants against the same job-related standards. A low score alone should not be treated as proof that someone lacks a qualification.
What should recruiters check about privacy and security?
Empikalyze’s privacy information says that organizations’ jobs, resumes, results, and usage are isolated; that the service uses third-party AI and large language model providers; that customer data is not used to train its AI models; and that deletion can be requested through support. These are company statements, not independently confirmed controls.
Rank #4
The published information does not establish all processors, processing locations, a definite retention schedule, or independent security audit results. Before uploading applicant data, an organization should review the company’s current privacy terms and confirm its own obligations for candidate notice, lawful processing, access, retention, and deletion. Do not treat marketing language such as “privacy-first” or “AES-256” as evidence of an independent audit.

What has—and has not—been independently established?
Empikalyze’s About page, last updated August 1, 2026, calls the service a production B2B SaaS platform and describes its AI insights as probabilistic support for recruiter judgment. That is the company’s positioning, not third-party validation.
Best Value
The available material supports describing the product’s stated workflow and features, but not a conclusion about real-world screening quality. There is no independently established head-to-head comparison, customer outcome evidence, or validated measure showing that its rankings improve hiring decisions. A buyer evaluating it should ask for evidence relevant to their roles and applicant pool, along with details of review controls, data handling, integrations, and total pricing.
