What the reported deal was—and what it does not establish
PC Gamer’s May 13, 2026 deal article reported the Pixy at $89.99 on Amazon. Its headline’s $85 figure is not the price reported in that article, and neither figure establishes a current offer. The article described the $89.99 price as $70 below a former $159.99 price, after a base-price reduction to $99.99 and a further $10 discount. Those are historical deal details, not a guarantee of the present price. PC Gamer’s deal report was published May 13, 2026.

What the Emeet Pixy offers
The Pixy combines a 4K imaging camera with a second AI-assisted camera used for targeting and focus. PC Gamer’s deal article lists 3840 × 2160 video at 30 frames per second, 1920 × 1080 at 60 fps, a 73-degree field of view, a Sony 1/2.55-inch sensor and USB Type-C. The 2025 review also lists 1280 × 720 at 60 fps and 640 × 480 at 30 fps. PC Gamer’s review describes the dual-camera design and testing.
The gimbal is the more distinctive feature than the 4K label alone: it can follow a person as they move, and the review describes gesture-based activation. That could help a presenter who moves around a room or points to a whiteboard. For a fixed desk call, tracking may matter much less.

How it performed in PC Gamer’s review
James Bentley’s August 2025 review gave the Pixy 82 points. He found its autofocus and targeting roughly as accurate as the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite in his comparison, and reported responsive tracking and reliable whiteboard tracking in his test. He also described the microphone as surprisingly solid for quick meetings and setup as easy. These are one reviewer’s observations, not lab measurements.
Image rendering was a trade-off in that comparison. Bentley preferred the Tiny 2 Lite’s more neutral image; he found the Pixy’s footage more saturated and washed out, while noting that beard and hair detail came through distinctly. His review also criticized the Pixy’s bulk and tendency toward overexposure, and questioned the value of 4K for many users. The score and verdict reflect that review’s time and comparison, not a current market ranking.

The camera can sit on its included monitor stand or attach to a tripod through its bottom threading. The software’s script-generation feature was a weak point in the review: Bentley found it awkward and the generated scripts poor, and advised using the Pixy as a regular webcam instead. PC Gamer’s 2025 Tiny 2 Lite review is relevant context for that specific comparison.

Pixy’s maximum 4K mode is 30 fps, while 1080p reaches 60 fps. A higher-resolution camera only helps if the application and service you use can accept and deliver that mode; PC Gamer noted that some conferencing software does not support 4K and some services restrict it. Before paying extra for 4K, check the settings and limits of your intended video-call, capture or streaming app. If your typical use is a standard video call, a good 1080p image may be more useful than a 4K label.

- Consider it for presenting: Gimbal tracking is useful if you move around or demonstrate material on a whiteboard.
- Consider a simpler webcam if you stay seated: You may not benefit much from tracking, and the Pixy is notably bulky.
- Plan your audio: The reviewed microphone was judged suitable for quick meetings. If audio quality is especially important, a separate microphone is a general option, not a Pixy-specific tested pairing.
Privacy is a practical drawback
The Pixy has no physical privacy shutter or filter. PC Gamer says you can tilt the camera down physically or use its software privacy mode. If you want a visible, mechanical barrier between calls, this is a meaningful trade-off to weigh before choosing it.
How it compares with the OBSBOT Tiny 2 Lite
For the comparison Bentley made in the 2025 review, the Tiny 2 Lite offered a more natural-looking image to him and had a smaller frame; the Pixy’s tracking felt comparably accurate in his use. The later May 2026 deal article treated the Pixy as a value pick at its reported sale price. Those assessments belong to different review and deal contexts, and do not establish which camera is the better buy today. Compare image rendering, size, tracking behavior, software, privacy controls and the actual prices available to you before deciding.
