The Electrolux Pure C9 Animal PC91-ANIM is a bagless canister vacuum whose published specifications and included pet tools vary by country. Electrolux lists a turbo nozzle or mini turbo brush in regional configurations, but the available manufacturer information does not establish how well the vacuum actually picks up pet hair on carpets or hard floors. Treat it as a model to investigate—not a proven pet-hair performer—and check the exact local model, PNC and box contents before buying.
Is the Electrolux Pure C9 Animal good for pet hair?
Electrolux markets Animal versions with tools intended for pet-related cleaning, but a pet tool in the box is not evidence of pickup performance. The official specifications available for this model do not include independent tests of pet hair, carpet cleaning, hard-floor pickup, or long-term use. That means there is not enough evidence here to give a reliable performance verdict.

If pet hair is the deciding factor, look for independent testing on the floor types in your home, especially if you have carpet, rugs, or hair that wraps around brush rolls. Also confirm that the listing includes the specific turbo tool you want: the Australian and French configurations do not list the same accessories.
Which model is this, and why do listings differ?
Electrolux’s French listing identifies the PC91-ANIMA as product code 900258444. Its Australian fact sheet identifies PC91-ANIMA as PNC 900279203 and EAN/UPC 7332543605835. Electrolux Australia’s current product page lists PC91ANIMAT and says it replaces PC91-ANIMA. These identifiers refer to market-specific listings and configurations, so a name that looks nearly identical does not guarantee the same package.

Before ordering a vacuum, accessory, or filter, compare the model and PNC on the appliance’s rating label with the local product listing. Check the included-accessory list rather than relying on “Animal” in the product name.

The Australian fact sheet also lists automatic cord winding, power-level control, and horizontal and vertical parking.

What comes with the Electrolux Pure C9 Animal?
Package contents vary by market. Electrolux’s Australian fact sheet lists an AeroPro Turbo nozzle and a 3-in-1 accessory. The French listing names a FlowMotion LED floor brush and describes a mini turbo brush and upholstery brush among the included tools. These are not interchangeable package lists; confirm the contents of the specific listing you are considering.
What filters does the Pure C9 Animal use?
Electrolux describes a sealed PureFlow system with seven-stage filtration, a 3D fine-dust filter, and a HEPA filter. The Australian fact sheet lists the EF158 motor filter and EFH13W HEPA 13 exhaust filter. Before purchasing replacements, match the vacuum’s regional PNC to the part’s compatibility information. Filter names or similar model branding alone are not enough to establish fit.

Electrolux’s Australian fact sheet describes the system as having “Tight seals throughout the entire system to minimise loss of suction whilst maximising filtration.” This is the manufacturer’s description, not an independent finding about filtration or suction in use.
What to consider before choosing it
- Bagless-bin upkeep: This is a bagless canister model. Consider whether you are comfortable emptying a dust container rather than replacing vacuum bags; the published specifications do not establish how easy or messy emptying is in practice.
- Reach and handling: Electrolux lists a 12 m reach in both the Australian fact sheet and French listing. The Australian sheet gives a cleaner-only weight of 5.9 kg, which does not describe the weight of the hose, wand, or floor tool in use.
- Storage: The Australian sheet lists horizontal and vertical parking and dimensions of 296 × 437 × 308 mm. Check those measurements against your storage space and verify the dimensions for your local configuration.
- Filters and service: Check local availability and cost of compatible replacements, and use the exact PNC when confirming parts.
- Evidence for your floors: Seek independent results for your floor types and pet-hair needs. The manufacturer specifications do not compare this vacuum with competing models.
Warranty and replacement parts
For Australia and New Zealand, Electrolux’s fact sheet states a 24-month manufacturing-defect warranty after original purchase for domestic use and three months for commercial use. The current Australian product page lists a two-year warranty period. Warranty terms can vary by market and usage, so check the terms that apply to your purchase rather than assuming the Australian coverage applies elsewhere.
