Electrolux Australia lists the EWW1043R7WCS as an UltimateCare 700 front-load washer-dryer. It combines a 10 kg washing capacity with a 6 kg drying capacity, a maximum spin speed of 1400 rpm and a stainless-steel drum. A combo can suit a household that wants washing and drying in one appliance or has limited room for separate machines. Its lower drying capacity means it is not a like-for-like replacement for a 10 kg washer followed by a dryer of similar capacity: if you want to dry the same load you washed, you may need to remove some items and dry the rest in a second cycle. That affects throughput as well as convenience.
Electrolux’s page shows a rating of 4.7 from 7 customer reviews. That is a small on-page sample, not controlled performance testing or a reliable predictor of how the appliance will suit every household.

Electrolux lists the following label and specification figures for the Australian model:

These are published label or specification values, not a forecast of a particular household’s bills. Actual use depends on factors such as the cycles selected, load size and frequency of use. CHOICE’s public model page shows the same wash and dry energy figures, 85 L wash-water figure and star ratings, and also lists 44 L for dryer water. CHOICE’s expert rating and detailed comparative test results are member-only, so its publicly visible page does not establish this model’s real-world wash or drying performance. Will it fit in your laundry?
Electrolux’s dimension guide gives the cabinet dimensions as 600 mm wide × 659 mm deep × 850 mm high. The guide, labelled June 2025, says to follow the supplied manual for installation; it describes the dimensions as guidance rather than a complete clearance specification. Appliances Online separately recommends allowing another 150 mm of depth for hoses and connections. Treat that as retailer guidance, not a manufacturer-specified total clearance. Before ordering, check the actual route into the laundry and account for hoses, connections, door swing and required service access. The Appliances Online listing identifies this exact white model and carries the retailer’s installation note.
What do the wash and steam programmes offer?
The programme descriptions below are Electrolux’s claims, not independent hands-on findings. A quick-cycle time or stain result should not be assumed for every fabric, load or laundry condition.
IntelliQuick and SensorWash
Electrolux says IntelliQuick selects a quick programme based on the load and advertises a 10 kg wash in 45 minutes. That is a manufacturer claim, not a promise that every fabric, soil level or selected option will finish in that time. SensorWash is described as detecting dirt and soil levels and adjusting cycle duration. Electrolux’s claim of removing “up to 53 visible stains” is tied to a 5 kg load on Cotton 40°C with StainPro; results can vary with the load, stain conditions, detergent and water hardness.

UltraMix
Electrolux says UltraMix dissolves and activates detergent and softener before they enter the drum. Its “no visible residue” claim comes from a test on a 3 kg mixed load using the recommended powder dosage; it should not be read as a guarantee against residue in every load or with every detergent and dosage.

Sanitise and HygienicCare
These are distinct programmes. Electrolux describes Sanitise as a wash-and-steam programme above 60°C and says it removed more than 99.99% of specified common bacteria and viruses. The company attributes that result to external testing by Swissatest Testmaterialien AG in 2021 on Candida albicans, MS2 Bacteriophage and Escherichia coli. The claim applies to those specified organisms and test conditions, not every pathogen or every cycle. HygienicCare is described as a 40°C soft-vapour finish for everyday wear and baby clothes; it is not the same as the Sanitise programme.
Wool and DuvetCare 60
Electrolux says the wool wash cycle is approved by The Woolmark Company for garments labelled “hand wash” when they are washed according to the machine maker’s instructions. Follow the garment’s care label, particularly when considering machine drying.

DuvetCare 60 is advertised as a 60-minute heated-vapour treatment and drying programme for duvets. Electrolux says king-size duvets are suitable only for 12/13 kg machines, while smaller sizes are suitable across machines. This 10 kg washer-dryer therefore should not be treated as suitable for a king-size duvet. Check the care label and the programme guidance for the specific duvet before using the cycle.

CHOICE has a page for this exact model, but the public page does not reveal its expert rating or detailed test results. Those hidden results include comparative wash and drying performance and other measures, so it would be misleading to assign the EWW1043R7WCS a CHOICE score or to describe it as independently proven to outperform another machine. The manufacturer’s page is useful for specifications and its own programme claims, not as a substitute for independent performance testing.

A separate washer and dryer may offer a different workflow and throughput; whether that is worth the extra space depends on your laundry setup.

Warranty and model-number check
Electrolux lists a 2-year domestic warranty and a 10-year inverter-motor parts-and-labour warranty. Check the written warranty terms for the exact scope, conditions and exclusions before relying on either period.
Confirm the full model number when shopping. The EWW1043R7WCS is the washer-dryer combo reviewed here; the similarly named EWF1043R7WCS is a standalone washer, not the same appliance. Match the model number, colour, capacities, retailer and stock to the Australian listing before purchasing.
